| The Khuoi Noc residential area is getting a new look and is gradually nearing completion. |
By 2025, Khuoi Noc will become one of the villages with the highest number of temporary houses eliminated, with 39 houses. The completion of the elimination of temporary houses has brought about a significant change, not only in the living conditions of the people, but also in the overall appearance of this highland village.
Joy was evident on the faces of every member of Mr. Duong Van Lanh's family, one of the households that had just completed building a new house. These days, his family is busy preparing a housewarming feast to invite relatives and friends to celebrate together – a seemingly simple task, but something he never dared to dream of many years ago.
Previously, the family's old house was just a temporary structure; it leaked during heavy rains, and the monsoon winds disrupted daily life. "Now that we have a new house, the family feels much more secure. We no longer worry about the rain and wind like before, and our children and grandchildren suffer less," shared Mr. Duong Van Lanh.
Not only older families, but also young people in Khuoi Noc have been motivated by the program to eliminate temporary housing. Mr. Vuong Van Dinh now has a solid house to stabilize his life, work and produce with peace of mind, and stay committed to his homeland for the long term. For him, the new house is the foundation for building a career, instead of the constant worry about housing as before.
A highlight of the process of eliminating temporary housing in Khuoi Noc is the implementation of a residential relocation project. On the planned land, 15 households have built stable housing, forming a new residential area with uniformly designed, spacious houses. Along with housing and land support, the internal village roads and roads leading to the new residential area have been concreted, creating favorable conditions for the residents' travel and daily lives.
According to Mr. Vuong Van Sinh, Secretary of the Party Branch of Khuoi Noc village, the elimination of temporary housing has directly impacted the lives of the villagers. With stable housing, people can work and produce with peace of mind, actively participate in local movements, contribute to maintaining security and order, and build increasingly prosperous villages.

On the part of the local government, Ms. Nong Thi Diep, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Van Lang commune, said that eliminating temporary housing is a key task in ensuring social security, especially for ethnic minority areas. Therefore, the locality has focused on coordinating well in implementing the program. The completion of eliminating temporary housing in Khuoi Noc not only addresses the immediate need for housing but also creates a foundation for the commune to continue implementing policies to support economic development and sustainable poverty reduction.
The newly built, sturdy houses in Khuoi Noc not only solve the housing problem for the people but also maintain their faith in the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State. The changes in Khuoi Noc are clear evidence of the program to eliminate temporary housing, contributing to helping the Mong people here gradually settle down, stabilize, and improve their lives.
