Adjusting the planning of the Binh Quoi - Thanh Da New Urban Area.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just approved the adjustment of the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for the Binh Quoi – Thanh Da New Urban Area (Binh Quoi Ward), with a total area of ​​approximately 549.4 hectares, including 423.61 hectares of land (calculated along the high bank of the Saigon River) and 125.79 hectares of water surface.

The area is divided into 3 residential units and urban-level functions:

Residential Unit 1 (116.70 ha, approximately 18,000 inhabitants): located in the Northwest, along the existing Binh Quoi road, forming an existing residential area combined with resettlement and social housing.

Residential Unit 2 (155.22 hectares, approximately 20,000 inhabitants): located in the south, opposite An Khanh ward, developing a high-quality residential community with diverse amenities to support a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Residential Unit 3 (151.68 ha, approximately 16,000 inhabitants): located in the northeast, opposite the Truong Tho area, notable for its proactively managed wetland landscape and marina.

According to the plan, Binh Quoi – Thanh Da will become an urban center combining wetland parks, developing a modern tourist urban area with synchronized technical and social infrastructure, intertwining parks and wetlands with ecological landscapes; arranging high-rise centers, reducing construction density, and developing residential, administrative, commercial, service, cultural and tourism functions along the river.
