Casemiro could stay at MU. |
According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are ready to sit down for negotiations with Casemiro about a new contract. However, for both sides to continue their partnership, the Brazilian midfielder will have to significantly reduce his salary.
Currently, Casemiro tops the payroll at Old Trafford with £350,000 transferred to his account each week. In return, the former Real Madrid player is giving his best for MU in the final season of his contract. The Brazilian star is playing effectively in the role of a defensive midfielder and frequently makes a difference from aerial situations. To date, Casemiro has scored 7 goals.
In a recent interview, center-back Leny Yoro admitted that most Manchester United players want Casemiro to continue with the team. According to the French player, the Brazilian midfielder's experience and composure are very important factors for the current squad.
"We all want him to stay. Casemiro is a very important player for the team. In the dressing room every day, he brings experience that no one else has. Casemiro has won every major title and that helps us a lot, both on and off the pitch," Yoro shared.
Sharing the same sentiment, striker Matheus Cunha said: "I always tell him to stay here for another year." Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes also shared: "I hope Casemiro doesn't leave."
