With the theme "Heritage," the second night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026, sponsored by Sun Group and organized in collaboration with the Da Nang City People's Committee, offered audiences an explosive journey filled with surprises and memorable moments.
Da Nang 's "heritage" is showcased through fireworks.
Showcasing a competition between the reigning runner-up Z121 Vina Pyrotech from Vietnam and the highly successful newcomer Lux Factory POK 2.0 from France , the second night of the competition presented two distinct approaches, yet both shared a common spirit of celebrating heritage values.
The French team told the story of Heritage in their performance themed "Heritage - Da Nang Shines" using a cinematic and multi-layered language of fireworks, recreating the layers of cultural sediment that intersected through historical periods and the beauty of Da Nang on its journey of international integration.
Despite being newcomers, the French team surprised the audience with one amazing performance after another, transforming the sky over Da Nang into a mesmerizing stage of light.

The multicolored titanium tail flares, the soft falling leaf effect, and the cascading glitter waterfalls in the air created layers of images that resembled cultural sediments.
The highlight of the performance was a series of golden fireworks bursting into bloom simultaneously, illuminating the entire Han River, as a tribute to the heritage beauty and vitality of the riverside city.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's Z121 Vina Pyrotech affirmed its status as the reigning runner-up of DIFF 2025, bringing audiences fireworks displays rich in Vietnamese heritage, familiar and full of unique character.

A special highlight of the Z121 Vietnam team's performance was the recreation of the palm tree – a symbol of Phu Tho province – using modern fireworks technology.
The highlight was the moment when the sky over Da Nang lit up with fireworks to the tune of "Joining Hands in a Great Circle," accompanied by the enthusiastic singing and continuous applause of the audience.
“Absolutely world-class! The Z121 Vietnam team not only showcased fireworks, but also ignited national pride through the art of light. Last year, I was incredibly proud watching Z121's performance, and that's why my family and I returned to watch DIFF this year, and it was truly worth it,” shared Mr. Pham Van Lam (Hai Phong).
A grand art celebration honoring heritage values.
Elevating the artistic experience, the second night of DIFF 2026 also treated the audience to a "grand music festival" by the Han River featuring renowned names such as Dong Hung, Thuy Dung, Hong Minh, Kieu Oanh, Nhat Mai, Ny Ny Nguyen…
If fireworks are moments that elevate "heritage," then the artistic performances on stage are the emotional currents connecting Da Nang's heritage values, from tangible to intangible, leading the audience on a journey to discover cultural beauty through music, dance, and performing arts.

The opening performance, "God of the South Sea," by singer Dong Hung and his dance troupe, kicked off the competition night in the most majestic way possible. The stage, imbued with the spirit of the sea, vividly recreated the spiritual life of the people in the central coastal region, where stories of the sea have long been an integral part of the local cultural identity.
Next, timeless songs like "Hymne à l'amour" transported the audience to the romantic beauty of French culture, while "Afternoon in Hoi An," "Apsara Dancers by the Han River," and "Flying Over the Heritage Region" expanded the journey to explore the unique cultural values of Da Nang and Central Vietnam.
Meritorious Artist Quang Hào, Director of Trưng Vương Theater and artistic director of DIFF 2026, shared: “Through the artistic stage with the theme of Heritage of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF, we want to introduce to international friends a miniature Vietnam and a central region with so much heritage.”
Following the success of the opening night, the appeal of DIFF continues to spread strongly. Ranked among the Top 9 most worthwhile festivals on the planet by Travel + Leisure, this year's festival is making Da Nang the focal point of the Asian summer.
This year, for the first time, DIFF is offering audiences personalized "digital gifts" powered by artificial intelligence (AI) through the Sun Paradise Land app. With just a few taps, visitors can transform their moments with the fireworks into vintage-style postage stamps or design e-postcards to send to loved ones.
These new experiences not only prolong the emotions after the performance but also help each audience member take home a very personal memory of the DIFF 2026 season.
