On the same day, a delegation led by Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc, Political Commissar of Military Region 7, visited, presented gifts, and expressed gratitude to five exemplary families of policy beneficiaries, including Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and veterans who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
Major General Tran Vinh Ngoc cordially inquired about the health and well-being of the families and expressed his deep gratitude for their contributions and sacrifices to the cause of national liberation.
He stated that this activity is part of a series of events leading up to the 50th anniversary of national reunification, organized by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. Caring for policy beneficiaries, the armed forces, and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers is a regular task of the Party, the State, and Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Tomorrow (April 20th), at the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Cadres, the national scientific conference on the theme "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 and the New Era of Development for the Vietnamese Nation" will officially take place.
The national scientific conference "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 and the New Era of Development of the Vietnamese Nation," chaired by the Ministry of National Defence, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The seminar was organized to affirm and clarify that the great victory of Spring 1975 was a triumph of the Vietnamese people's will to unify the country and their aspiration for peace; it was a victory of Vietnamese courage, wisdom, and the strength of national unity, combined with the strength of the times, in the resistance war for national salvation.
The seminar also provided new materials, profound scientific arguments, and evidence to clarify the preparation process, the course of the campaign, and the roles and coordination of the forces involved. It drew valuable lessons from the national liberation war, applying and developing them in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
