Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly Deputies of Ha Tinh Province, Tran Dinh Gia, suggested that the investor and contractor need to coordinate closely and regularly exchange information with the Party Committee and the government of Ha Tinh to promptly resolve obstacles and difficulties, creating favorable conditions for the North-South expressway project to be completed on schedule.

On the morning of January 9th, the Supervisory Delegation of the National Assembly of Ha Tinh province conducted a survey of the component projects of the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) giai đoạn 2021 - 2025 passing through Ha Tinh province.

The inspection team surveyed the construction area of ​​the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi expressway interchange with Provincial Road 550 (DT.550) in Luu Vinh Son commune, Thach Ha district; the Nam Huong 1 landfill site in Nam Dien commune, Thach Ha district; the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway interchange area in Cam Quan commune, Cam Xuyen district; the Ham Nghi expressway interchange area with National Highway 12C in Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district; and the Deo But road tunnel of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway.

Reporting to the inspection team, the investor's representative informed that the North-South Expressway project (Eastern section) for the 2021-2025 period, passing through Ha Tinh province, has three component projects: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, and Vung Ang - Bung, with a total length of over 102.38 km. To date, the locality has handed over over 98% of the land for project implementation.

The investor affirms that, over the past period, they have received strong consensus and support from all levels of government and the people in the areas where the project passes through, as evidenced by the volume of cleared land that has been handed over.

In addition, the province has also made efforts to resolve difficulties and obstacles regarding the supply of construction materials. To date, the supply of construction materials for the project has been largely smooth.

The large volume of land handed over and abundant construction materials have significantly contributed to the timely completion of the three component projects of the North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh province. Specifically, the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section has reached 22% of the plan, the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section has reached 18% of the plan, and the Vung Ang - Bung section has reached 38% of the plan.

The investor and contractor requested that local authorities continue to pay attention to and focus on land clearance along the route, as some structures and technical infrastructure have not yet been relocated. Although this may not have an impact at this time, in the long run, delays in relocation could affect the overall progress of the project.

During the survey, members of the monitoring team and the investor also frankly exchanged information related to land clearance, the progress of construction packages, and difficulties and obstacles encountered during the construction process.

On behalf of the supervisory delegation, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh Province, Tran Dinh Gia, acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and management role of the investor and contractor in ensuring the construction progress of the component projects of the North-South expressway through Ha Tinh.

The delegation will take into account the suggestions from the investor and the construction unit, and will submit a full report to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation for their information.

Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Dinh Gia requested the investor to direct the contractor to mobilize maximum manpower, machinery, and equipment to focus on construction, ensuring the project's progress. During the construction process, close coordination and regular communication with Party committees and authorities from the provincial to district and commune levels are necessary to promptly resolve obstacles and difficulties, creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule.
