The delegation led by the Indian billionaire had unforgettable experiences and impressions upon arriving in Ninh Binh . They are the "ambassadors" who will help bring the image of the ancient capital's nature and people closer to friends in India and internationally.

Over the past few days, thousands of tourists in the 4,500-person group led by the Indian billionaire have had memorable experiences visiting and sightseeing in the Trang An Eco- tourism Area.

Upon arriving in Ninh Binh, Sunil Jajoo, a tourist in the group, excitedly shared: "My first impression is that the nature here is very pristine, the air is pleasant with green mountains and cool trees lining both sides of the road. This is definitely a great start to an exciting exploration journey."

Most of the Indian tourists in this group were visiting Ninh Binh for the first time. Prior to this, they had the opportunity to visit many tourist attractions in Hanoi, such as the Hoa Lo Prison historical site and the Temple of Literature.

Upon arriving in Ninh Binh, the group spent their time visiting attractions within the Trang An Ecological Tourist Area, such as May Cave, Dia Linh Cave, Suoi Tien Temple, Thanh Truot Cave, and Vu Lam Royal Palace.

For many tourists, this is not just an ordinary sightseeing trip, but a journey to discover local culture, fascinating and unique nature with majestic mountains and rivers, and rich flora and fauna.

Indian tourist Mammen James shared: "The locals are very welcoming, enthusiastic, and friendly. I have a particular fondness for the boatmen. They look small but row very skillfully and expertly. If we have the chance, we will spend more time here."

As the only restaurant selected to serve meals to the Indian delegation, Mr. Dinh Xuan Phuong, owner of Trang An 5 restaurant, said: The delegation chose purely vegetarian Indian-style dishes, with 90% of the ingredients and chefs brought in from India.

The restaurant mobilized over 30 people to work alongside the foreign chef to ensure the strict requirements for food quality and flavor were met. Furthermore, throughout the reception, the restaurant consistently demonstrated a hospitable, friendly spirit and, most importantly, respect for the culture of the host country, leaving international tourists with a positive impression of the people of Ninh Binh.

The beautiful natural scenery, rich cultural and historical stories, and the friendliness and hospitality of the local people make the tour experience even more enjoyable for the group. These are also the "plus points" that are causing more and more Indian tourists to return to this place.

Recently, according to a survey by Agoda, Vietnam is one of the most popular destinations for Indian tourists, and one they would like to return to. The survey also highlighted the importance of hospitality, with 3 out of 10 Indian tourists stating that friendly locals are a key factor in attracting them to return.

According to the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, exploiting the Indian market is not easy because tourists have distinct cultural characteristics, beliefs, and lifestyles, requiring extremely strict services and standards.

In addition to specific food requirements to suit their beliefs and religions, many Indian tour groups also request private spaces to perform their customs and prayer rituals.

Furthermore, the required language is Hindi, while Ninh Binh's attractions primarily use English. The lack of a distinct culinary scene and a community selling Indian cultural products in Ninh Binh are also factors that hinder the retention of Indian tourists for extended stays.

"This is a large international group, the largest Indian tourist group ever to visit Ninh Binh. However, we are not focusing on revenue targets but rather on this valuable opportunity for Ninh Binh to promote its image and tourism potential to the Indian market in particular and the global market in general, showcasing its ability to professionally and high-classly serve large-scale tourist groups," said a leader of the Department of Tourism.

In the coming period, the Department will continue to strengthen promotional activities, expand into new tourism markets, including the South Asian market. At the same time, it will improve the quality of human resources, open training courses, and provide professional training in culinary skills and techniques characteristic of different regions and countries.

A group of 4,500 people from an Indian billionaire visited Ninh Binh from August 28th to September 3rd, 2024. The thoughtful and enthusiastic welcome from the people of Ninh Binh will contribute to enhancing the image of the people of the ancient capital as friendly, harmonious, civilized, and hospitable. This will attract more international tourists to stay in Ninh Binh in the future.
