"During the current period of accelerated industrialization and modernization in our country, developing production in a green and sustainable direction makes a significant contribution, affirming the solid progress of the economy. Therefore, the business community needs to constantly learn and improve management skills, apply advanced science and technology to production and business activities; actively participate in the process of technology transfer, and promote green and sustainable production." In recent times, many businesses have focused more on using natural raw materials, fuels, and non-toxic chemicals; and investing in modern machinery, technology, and production equipment according to international standards to participate in the greening process in production.
At the same time, investing in renewable energy systems to proactively utilize clean energy, alongside energy and water saving solutions in the production process, as well as installing quality management systems for safety and hygiene and waste treatment systems, aims towards green and clean production criteria.
In the agricultural sector, in recent years, the province has seen the establishment of green farms with scientific production methods and strict adherence to production processes; developing production in conjunction with creating a sustainable ecological environment and biodiversity. A prime example is Thanh Dong Green Food Joint Stock Company (Buon Ma Thuot City). With the goal and orientation of bringing clean agriculture to consumers, the company has developed a model of mushroom cultivation under solar-powered roofs in a circular manner on a scale of 6,000 m2.
Mr. Doan Xuan Truong, General Director of Thanh Dong Green Food Joint Stock Company, shared that this model not only utilizes technology transferred from the Institute for Research and Development of Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms, but is also mechanized and uses automated systems managed by software installed on mobile phones.
The company has invested in a circular factory system with a one-way production process, ensuring a clean environment for mushroom growth and preventing disease. The raw materials for mushroom cultivation are sourced from rubber tree compost. The raw material processing area, production area, mushroom propagation room, and mushroom spawn production area are all equipped with modern equipment. Notably, the company also has a facility for processing mushroom cultivation waste into fertilizer for organically grown fruit trees.
Thanks to systematic investment in facilities, technology, and techniques, the solar-powered mushroom cultivation model of Thanh Dong Green Food Joint Stock Company has achieved ISO 22000 and VietGAP certifications. Notably, the model offers a double benefit: generating income from rooftop solar power while simultaneously providing electricity for agricultural production, resulting in high-quality products.

Green production is not limited to agriculture; it has now spread to industrial, service, and commercial sectors, bringing many practical benefits. Aiming for Net Zero (zero net emissions), many businesses have proactively invested in production lines to shift towards green and sustainable practices.
With hundreds of billions of dong invested in its production line, Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company utilizes cleaner processes in its beer production operations. This maximizes savings in raw materials, fuel, and input materials. The company also employs a heating technology that uses entirely liquefied natural gas, further reducing environmental emissions.
Mr. Huynh Van Dung, General Director of Saigon Beer - Central Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said that the company has been implementing green transformation for more than 10 years, starting with cleaner production, saving raw materials, fuel, and input materials; followed by waste recycling and increasing green, digital, and circular solutions.
The company has maximized the value of raw materials, reduced costs, and minimized harmful waste and emissions into the environment in accordance with new government regulations and market demands; aiming for sustainable production, a circular economy, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and fulfilling its social responsibility according to the ESG standards (a tool for assessing and measuring the level of social, environmental, and governance responsibility of businesses).

According to the Provincial Business Association, reducing emissions, switching to energy-saving solutions, using environmentally friendly materials, or implementing circular economy models are some of the solutions that many businesses in Dak Lak are currently applying to green production. These are also the criteria for businesses to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of the market and participate in the global supply chain.
To promote the shift towards green and sustainable production, Mr. Phan Ngoc Xin, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Power Company, shared that in the coming time, the unit will coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement solutions to create conditions for businesses in the area to access green transformation. This will improve production efficiency and create green and clean products for export as well as the domestic market.
In fact, green production models in Dak Lak not only help businesses save on electricity costs and lower product prices, but also open up opportunities for businesses to enter demanding markets, especially in the context of the global trend towards sustainable green growth.
