During the recent floods, the house of Mr. Le Tan Cam's family in Phu Dien Trong village, Hoa Thinh commune ( Dak Lak province) completely collapsed. This time, his family received help from officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command to rebuild their house. He said emotionally, "The soldiers worked past noon, then from afternoon until late at night. I admire them and feel so sorry for them. It's truly immeasurable how much the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army care for the people in times of hardship and disaster."
Corporal Le Van Hoang of Regiment 584 shared: “Although the work is quite tiring, especially working at night, thinking about the people in the flood-affected areas living in such makeshift conditions motivates us to work harder to speed up the construction progress and ensure it stays on schedule.” Corporal Y Nhat Ayun confided: “Just thinking about the people in the flood-affected areas eagerly awaiting the happiness of a new home makes us work even more enthusiastically.”

Speaking to us about the construction progress, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Khoa, Deputy Chief of Staff of Regiment 584, Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, said: “Currently, the weather in the locality is unfavorable, with rain and cold winds, so we are taking advantage of the time to ensure the project is completed on schedule. The unit has divided its forces into many shifts, each shift undertaking a specific task. The shifts take turns continuously to ensure that the progress is not interrupted, and we are working at night to complete the items according to the set schedule.”

Upon arriving at the construction sites, we observed a very urgent and bustling work atmosphere. Each team consisted of 15 to 20 workers. Some were mixing concrete and reinforcing steel, others were shoveling sand, stone, and gravel... the sound of concrete mixers mingled with the laughter and chatter of the soldiers, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the area. Nighttime construction projects were closely supervised, with technical officers stationed at each work point. All officers and soldiers were determined to accelerate progress, but the quality of the construction had to be safe, durable, and in accordance with the design.

Carrying a freshly brewed pot of green tea to each construction site to offer to the soldiers, Mr. Le Tan Cam, from Phu Dien Trong village, Hoa Thinh commune, couldn't hide his emotion: "My house was completely destroyed after the storm and flood, and all my belongings were swept away. When my family was at its most difficult time, the soldiers came and rebuilt my house for me. They worked tirelessly, day and night, regardless of rain or wind. If it weren't for the help of the soldiers, my family wouldn't know how to cope."

The "Quang Trung Campaign," a swift effort to build and repair houses for people after storms and floods in the Central and Central Highlands provinces, demonstrates the determination of the Party, State, and Army in supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives in the long term.
In Dak Lak province, the construction and repair of houses is not just a simple task, but embodies the spirit of "all for the people," the determination to overcome difficulties, the responsibility, and the humanity of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army. Despite the hardships and difficulties, on the windy and rainy construction sites, the image of officers and soldiers with muddy feet and hands, determined to work tirelessly, has instilled confidence in the people in the flood-affected areas.

To achieve the goal of building houses for people in flood-affected areas in accordance with the spirit of the "Quang Trung Rapid Campaign," the agencies and units of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command are racing against time to build houses for the people on schedule. Currently, many houses have completed their foundations and frames. It is expected that with the current shift-based work schedule, especially with increased night work, the progress will increase by 40-50% compared to normal construction progress. With the view that the sooner the work is completed, the less hardship the people will face, the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command is urgently accelerating the construction progress to help people stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
The devastating floods swept away many people's belongings, but amidst the ruins, desolation, loss, and suffering, the bond between the military and the people grew even stronger. The new houses gradually appearing in the communes and wards of the "flood-stricken" areas of Dak Lak province are vivid evidence that further enhances the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
