However, the league's governing body has stated that they have "unanimously approved the League Champion title." With a total of 66 points from the two group stages of Apertura and Clausura, Rosario Central will lead the overall standings in 2025 and be recognized as the champion.

With this title, Rosario Central also lifted the championship trophy for the first time since 1987. Immediately after being awarded the title, the club declared on social media: "We are the best team of the year," and added an eighth star to its logo.

Rosario Central is showing impressive form, leading the Clausura Group B with 31 points before entering the play-offs. Their opponent in the Round of 16 will be Estudiantes.
