At the technical area near the Hon Do racetrack (North Nha Trang ward), as soon as the teams finished their tests, many vehicles were quickly brought in for inspection and repair. Under the scorching summer sun, mechanics, technicians, and support staff diligently worked on every screw, wheel, brake, suspension, and drivetrain to prepare for the next rounds of competition.

Nguyen Phuong Toan, from team number 110 in Ho Chi Minh City, and his team members filled a corner of the sidewalk with repair tools and spare parts. For him, this is a familiar sight every season. Off-road vehicles often face immense pressure from sandy, rocky terrain, steep slopes, and deep potholes. Even a strong impact can cause system failures, axle damage, or brake problems. Therefore, behind each start are hours of preparation by the support team. "When competing in off-road races, vehicle breakdowns are normal, so a support team is essential for repairs. Some challenges only last 5-7 minutes, but afterwards, the team has to spend 3-4 hours fixing them. In more serious cases, repairs have to be done overnight, sometimes at 8-10 pm," Toan shared.

Logistics work encompasses not only technical aspects but also includes many other tasks such as arranging accommodation, healthcare, supplies during the competition, and providing support for the athletes throughout the tournament. In the Quang Tri racing team, Le Tho Minh is a rather special case. His main job is dentistry, completely unrelated to mechanics or automobiles. Yet, at Victory Challenge 2026, he was one of the team's active logistics members. “I participated in the logistics team, taking care of the team's accommodation and meals, and assisting with repairs when the vehicles had problems. The work was quite demanding and unrelated to my medical profession, but because of my passion for off-road vehicles, I participated and supported the team,” Minh shared.

According to Minh, the members of the Quang Tri team each have different jobs, but they all share a love for off-road vehicles. Their logistical support contributes to the team's enjoyment and strengthens camaraderie. For him, the greatest value of these trips lies not only in the rankings but also in the opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts from all over the country. “When we arrived in Nha Trang, we were very happy to meet off-road friends from many different places. Everyone shared their competition experiences, work, and daily life joys. That's the biggest motivation for us to continue participating in other competitions,” Minh said.
The role of the support team is highly valued by the athletes competing directly. Nguyen Viet Nam, a member of the Quang Tri team, said: “For all competition categories, the support team is very important. As someone who directly drives, I see that the support staff work much harder. They have to wake up early and stay up late to take care of transportation, food, and the health of the athletes,” Nam shared.

At Victory Challenge 2026, each racing team may only appear on the track for a few brief minutes. However, behind those moments lie dozens of hours of preparation, repairs, and support from the logistics team and the media team, helping to spread the image of the team and the race. They may not be on the podium, nor directly behind the wheel navigating the challenging terrain, but they are indispensable links in each team's journey to conquer the challenging landscape.

Perhaps, in the world of off-road, victory doesn't just belong to the person who crosses the finish line fastest, but also to those who silently stand behind, contributing with all their enthusiasm and passion to help their teammates move forward.
