This is an occasion for the whole country to express its affection, respect and deep gratitude to teachers - those who have made great contributions to the cause of education , building and defending the Fatherland.
The late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong once said: “Teaching is the noblest of all noble professions”. Teachers are the ones who keep the flame of knowledge, preserve the faith for future generations, and are the key factor determining the quality of human resources - the foundation of national development. Thanks to the dedication and perseverance of the teaching staff, Vietnamese education, especially since the renovation, has expanded its network, improved its quality, and integrated more and more deeply with the world .
Over the years, especially in the 80-year journey of revolutionary education, generations of teachers have made great efforts to innovate and develop themselves to better meet the requirements of the industry and the country. Now, with the birth of the Law on Teachers - the first law establishing the legal status, honoring and developing the team - the journey of professional development will be much more favorable.
With comprehensive regulations on rights, obligations, policies, training, fostering and other contents related to teachers, the Law on Teachers helps each teacher to be truly "illuminated", thereby "illuminating" the future of students with a new mindset and new responsibilities.
2025 is a special year for the education sector. The Politburo issued Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development, affirming for the first time that "education and training is the top national policy, deciding the future of the nation", demonstrating an unprecedented vision, guiding viewpoint, trust, and positioning for education and training.
At the same time, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation also opens up new development space. These two major resolutions pave the way for a new phase of the education sector with many opportunities; but at the same time, they require each teacher to take great responsibility and appropriate attitude, awareness and action, so as not to disappoint the trust and confidence of the Party and the People.
Education reform cannot be achieved by policies and resolutions alone. Reform is only truly successful when each teacher - with love for the profession, intelligence, personality and belief - contributes to making changes in each class and each student. The success of education does not lie in cramming knowledge or creating good experts, but in igniting in each student the flame of passion, sowing the seeds of aspiration and fostering the will to create.
Education must foster dreams, cultivate ideals and ethics, spread the values of truth, goodness and beauty and the quintessence of national and human culture, thereby contributing to the formation of good qualities of Vietnamese people. This requires each teacher to be a shining example of cultivating virtue, cultivating talent, loving the profession and loving people.
Without creative and dedicated teachers, there can be no innovative education. Without innovative education, there can be no innovative nation. Educational innovation starts with teachers. And the future of the country also starts from there!
