Entrepreneurship and innovation are considered important driving forces and resources in the development process of every nation, especially in the current era of globalization, international integration, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. For this reason, Dak Lak province has implemented many solutions to support and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit
In response to the national spirit of entrepreneurship, Dak Lak province has been decisive in directing, managing, and organizing the implementation of support for innovative startups in the area, with the motto "putting people and businesses at the center of service." The province is focusing on perfecting mechanisms and policies to support and promote business development. At the same time, administrative reform, coupled with the development of e-government and a modern public administration system, has been strengthened, contributing to creating a favorable business environment for enterprises to thrive.
The province has built and put into operation a startup information portal and established a co-working space (Provincial Startup Space). The Young Entrepreneurs Association has established the Dak Lak Business Incubator Joint Stock Company, with the mission of incubating and developing the province's startup ecosystem and supporting startups from their initial stages. The Provincial People's Committee and Tay Nguyen University have also collaborated to establish the Provincial Innovation Center, aiming to build and develop the Center into a focal point for innovation and entrepreneurship in the province.

In addition, successful entrepreneurs in the province have jointly established the Dak Lak Provincial Creative Startup Investment Fund with an initial capital of 1.9 billion VND to help solve the capital difficulties for organizations and individuals with creative business ideas and feasible production and business plans but lacking the financial resources to start up.
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee has also organized many activities such as: a program connecting businesses with students and young entrepreneurs; organizing entrepreneurship and business startup competitions; the Women's Creative Entrepreneurship Day; the Provincial Entrepreneurship Day; supporting trade promotion, and organizing for startup projects/products to participate in product exhibitions at domestic and international trade fairs/conferences...
We need a change in mindset.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kien Nhan, Co-Head of Design Thinking Village – Techfest VN (Innovative Design Thinking Village) under the National Techfest Ecosystem, and Director of Happy Key Communication and Career Guidance Company, Dak Lak has focused on promoting the province's innovative startup ecosystem in recent years. However, this has not yet yielded the high effectiveness required by Decision No. 844/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the "National Innovation Startup Ecosystem Support Scheme until 2025". To create a major breakthrough in the future, the province needs to have orientations and solutions in its thinking about innovative startups. First, it is necessary to unify the role of this task to a single unit for effective implementation. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the role of the Dak Lak Provincial Innovation Center in connecting with the elements of the ecosystem, including: the State, businesses, manufacturers, schools, and customers. This will foster creative ideas for commercialization, putting them into practice in business and generating revenue. Furthermore, it's necessary to strengthen training and coaching for startups and educational institutions on entrepreneurial thinking. In particular, we must cultivate and develop a team of experts in innovative entrepreneurship training right at the local level to be ready to meet the needs of education and training. To achieve this, we need a good mechanism to ensure these experts work sustainably in the locality. In addition, we need to regularly organize activities to activate creative and innovative thinking in schools by providing job incentives for students.
