More than 40 officials and workers from Ha Tinh Power Company are braving the rain to urgently repair a transformer station damaged by a landslide in Cuong Gian commune, Nghi Xuan district.
Heavy rains in Nghi Xuan district in recent days have caused serious landslides, collapsing the Xuan Song 5 transformer station (Cuong Gian commune) managed by Nghi Xuan Power Company.

Mr. Dinh Tiet Trung, Director of Nghi Xuan Power Company, said: “The Cuong Gian 5 transformer station has a capacity of 250 kVA, supplying electricity to more than 320 households in Cuong Gian commune. Immediately after the incident, the power sector quickly redistributed the load from nearby transformer stations to avoid disrupting electricity supply to the people in the area. Furthermore, Nghi Xuan Power Company received maximum support from Ha Tinh Power Company in terms of equipment, materials, and personnel... to focus on building a new transformer station.”

On the afternoon of October 14th, despite heavy rain and muddy, slippery roads, more than 40 officials and workers from the power sector remained at the scene, determined to quickly resolve the issue so that the substation could resume operation as soon as possible. The new substation is expected to be completed by tonight (October 14th).
In response to heavy rainfall across many areas, the leadership of Ha Tinh Power Company has formed teams and directly gone to the scene to direct local power companies to closely monitor the situation and the load on grid equipment to proactively respond to any situations. At the same time, they are ready to mobilize personnel, materials, and equipment to promptly address any power grid failures (if any), ensuring safe power supply and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
