On July 30th, the Thang Long Project Management Board, along with relevant units, visited the flooded area on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway in Ham Tan district to inspect and determine the cause of the flooding.
Mr. Dang Hong Thai, Director of the Thang Long Project Management Board, stated: Initial assessments indicate that prolonged heavy rainfall and an unusually large amount of water released from the Song Phan dam caused flooding on the highway section in Ham Tan. In addition to objective reasons, the Thang Long Project Management Board and relevant authorities are investigating the underlying causes (including the construction of drainage culverts) to develop solutions to ensure the highway's long-term and sustainable operation.
The inspection team worked on-site for two days and reported the results to the relevant authorities.
