(BLC) - On the morning of January 6th, Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - former member of the Politburo and Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam - offered incense at the memorial monument for the heroic martyrs of Ma Ly Pho commune and visited the Ma Lu Thang border gate (Phong Tho district).
Accompanying them were: Chu Le Chinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Sung A Nu - Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; the Office of the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council; the Department of Industry and Trade; the Provincial Border Guard Command; the Management Board of the Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Economic Zone; and leaders of the Phong Tho District Party Committee and People's Council.

During this visit, the delegation offered incense at the Memorial Monument for Heroes and Martyrs of Ma Ly Pho commune to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the Fatherland and the border, and visited the Ma Lu Thang border gate.
Here, representatives from the Ma Lu Thang Border Economic Zone Management Board provided an overview of the border gate. The Board and functional forces at the border gate have coordinated with the local authorities to successfully carry out their assigned tasks.

Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong - former member of the Politburo and Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam - acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Economic Zone Management Board and local authorities in the past period. Although not a large border gate compared to other provinces, the Ma Lu Thang border gate has made remarkable progress, contributing significantly to job creation and increased income for the people.

On this occasion, Comrade Tran Quoc Vuong also visited, presented gifts, and encouraged the officers and soldiers of the Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Border Guard Station. He expressed his hope that the officers and soldiers of the Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Border Guard Station would continue to uphold the traditions of the People's Armed Forces, effectively fulfilling their duties in protecting national sovereignty and border security; effectively combating and preventing all types of crime, maintaining peace on the northwestern border of the Fatherland; building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developing border region; and actively assisting the people in poverty alleviation and socio-economic development.
