Over the years, Doan Ket ward has focused on mobilizing resources to invest in urban construction and renovation in a comprehensive and modern manner. Many roads have been widened and upgraded; the electricity and water supply systems have been gradually improved; and the urban space has become increasingly open, clean, and beautiful. Planning work has been implemented systematically, ensuring consistency and suitability to practical development.
From 2020 to the present, the ward has completed the approval of 6 planning projects, creating an important foundation for attracting investment and implementing urban development projects. Architectural management regulations have been strictly implemented, contributing to controlling construction order, ensuring a civilized and modern urban landscape, and limiting spontaneous and unplanned construction.

The headquarters of the People's Committee of Doan Ket Ward has been comprehensively invested in, creating an increasingly spacious and modern appearance.
Simultaneously, the ward effectively utilizes investment resources. In addition to state budget funds, the locality actively integrates various programs and projects, while also mobilizing the participation of organizations, individuals, and the people in the area to work together in urban development.
Currently, the concrete road and drainage system project at Alley 239, Residential Group 9 in the ward is being implemented and gradually completed, with a length of 28 meters and a total cost of 322 million VND. The investment in the drainage system contributes to overcoming the problem of wastewater stagnation, ensuring environmental hygiene, urban aesthetics, and meeting drainage needs during the rainy season. This is one of the typical projects after the reorganization of administrative units, clearly demonstrating the attention being paid to improving infrastructure and urban beautification in a central administrative and political unit of the province.
Thanks to the synchronized implementation of various solutions, the technical infrastructure system in the ward is increasingly complete. 100% of the main roads have been paved, ensuring convenient access for vehicles to the centers of residential areas. Urban works have been upgraded, from sidewalks and drainage systems to street lighting; the rate of solid waste collection and treatment has reached 98.5%. Public lighting systems cover all main roads and over 95% of alleys; smart lighting models have been implemented on the 58m road. The percentage of the population using clean water through the centralized water supply system has reached 75.1%; 100% of households have access to safe and stable national grid electricity.
Ms. Ly Thi Tem (resident of neighborhood group No. 3) shared: “My family has lived here since the early days of Lai Chau province's establishment. Compared to the past, the ward has changed significantly; the streets are brighter, more spacious, and much more modern. Every evening, the streetlights shine brightly, and the urban space is becoming increasingly civilized, making us residents very happy and proud of where we live.”
Along with the development of technical infrastructure, the social sector has also received investment to better meet the needs of the people. The system of commercial, educational , health, and cultural institutions is gradually being improved with 18 solid schools and 48 cultural centers; the grassroots health care network has been strengthened. Information and telecommunications infrastructure covers the entire area, integrating a camera system to monitor security, public order, and traffic safety. Basic irrigation works meet the production needs of the people.

The headquarters of the Doan Ket Area Power Management Team (Lai Chau Power Company) has been comprehensively and modernly invested in.
Comrade Bui Huu Cam, Acting Head of the Economic Department of Doan Ket Ward, said: “Not stopping at the achievements already made, the ward continues to mobilize and integrate resources to invest in urban infrastructure development in a synchronized manner, suitable to the local reality. During the implementation process, we focus on disseminating information and encouraging people to donate land, contribute labor, and work together to build welfare facilities, gradually forming an increasingly spacious and modern urban area.”
The synchronized completion of infrastructure and public welfare facilities has created an increasingly vibrant urban landscape. Well-maintained residential areas and improved living environments have created favorable conditions for the development of commerce, services, and attracting investment.
