Previously, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority issued a directive to relevant units to proactively prevent, avoid, and respond to Typhoon No. 13 (Kalmaegi), ensuring the safety of flight operations, people, and property at airports, and minimizing negative impacts on flight operations.

Airports are required to inspect their infrastructure, communication systems, etc., to promptly detect and address any damage (if any) in order to ensure the safety of facilities and stations, and to guarantee safe operations at the airport.

Airports are implementing plans to prevent and mitigate damage from rain and storms, including flood control measures, clearing waterways within airports, protecting facilities, vehicles, and equipment, minimizing damage caused by rain and storms, and quickly restoring all aviation operations to serve passenger needs.

Furthermore, airports need to closely monitor the developments of Typhoon No. 13 to adjust flight plans or change flight schedules accordingly and ensure flight safety; fully update meteorological information from relevant aviation meteorological facilities and, based on the actual situation, implement necessary response actions to minimize the impact on operations, ensure flight safety, and protect personnel and property from natural disasters.
