Recognizing that infrastructure development is a breakthrough and plays a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable growth, Dong Cuong commune has mobilized maximum investment resources, prioritizing key projects with high connectivity and ripple effects. From national target programs and public investment capital to socialized resources, many rural transportation and community infrastructure projects have been implemented, contributing to changing the local landscape.
Following the merger of the former communes of Quang Minh, An Binh, Dong Cuong, and Dong An, the commune received 10 projects with a total investment of over 7.5 billion VND. To date, 9 out of 10 projects have been completed and put into use, with a disbursement rate of 99% of the plan. The upgraded and expanded roads have created favorable conditions for people to travel and transport goods, promoting trade and gradually increasing the value of agricultural production.
In addition to state budget investment, Dong Cuong has also effectively promoted the principle of "the State and the People working together." The people actively donated land, contributed labor and materials to expand and reinforce inter-village and internal field roads. As a result, the transportation system is increasingly complete, creating an important foundation for socio-economic development.

Ms. Tran Thi Phuong from Toan An village, Dong Cuong commune, shared: “Previously, transportation was difficult, agricultural product transport faced many obstacles, and prices were unstable. Now, with the roads being solidly built, travel is more convenient, traders can easily come to buy, and people's lives are gradually improving.”
The people of Dong Cuong are even more excited as the IC 15 interchange project of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway is being implemented in their area. Upon completion, it will be a crucial interchange connecting transportation routes, opening up new opportunities and impetus for the development of industry, trade, tourism, and various services; creating a breakthrough for the commune's future progress. Given its importance, the investor is working closely with the contractor to accelerate construction progress, striving to complete the project as soon as possible.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, from Toan An village, Dong Cuong commune, hopes that the completed project will help reduce travel time, save on goods transportation costs, and enhance economic exchange between localities.
Along with developing transportation infrastructure, Dong Cuong commune has identified industry as a crucial driving force for economic restructuring in the locality. The commune has focused on reviewing planning, investing in industrial cluster infrastructure, creating clean land funds, and attracting businesses to invest, produce, and conduct business. In addition, the commune prioritizes improving the investment environment, supporting businesses throughout the project implementation process, especially in assisting with land clearance and completing legal procedures.
Thanks to this, the commune now has two industrial clusters (Dong An Industrial Cluster and Bac Van Yen Industrial Cluster), and the planning for one industrial zone has been completed. Currently, six projects have been and are being implemented in the two industrial clusters, opening up new development opportunities. Factories in the industrial clusters and businesses and production facilities in the commune have created regular jobs for over 1,000 people with an average income of 8-12 million VND/month.

Attracting industrial projects not only contributes to increasing production value but also creates jobs for local workers, raises income, and improves people's lives. One of the key factors in Dong Cuong's success is the consensus and joint efforts of the people. During the implementation of industrial cluster infrastructure projects, the local government has intensified its propaganda and mobilization efforts, creating a high level of unity among the people.
Alongside infrastructure and industrial development, Dong Cuong places special emphasis on human resource development to meet the demands of the new era. The locality promotes vocational training for rural workers, encouraging them to participate in skills training courses to improve their expertise. Training human resources in line with business needs helps workers secure stable employment locally, reducing the need for them to seek work elsewhere. Simultaneously, the locality also supports workers in finding employment in foreign markets, contributing to increased income and improved living standards.
In the coming period, Dong Cuong commune will continue to develop a comprehensive socio-economic infrastructure; mobilize all resources to invest in socio-economic infrastructure development, focusing on prioritizing investment in key, important projects with a wide-ranging impact on socio-economic development, with a focus on transportation infrastructure, urban infrastructure, and new rural construction infrastructure; concentrate on allocating capital to accelerate the implementation of important and key programs and projects, especially transitional projects, creating momentum to promote the socio-economic development of the commune.
Effectively implement preferential policies and support for industrial development; focus on key industries and handicrafts with competitive advantages, such as: processing agricultural products linked to raw material areas, with a focus on processing cinnamon products, high-tech processing of plantation timber... strengthen the attraction and support of investors and businesses to implement investment projects and develop infrastructure in industrial zones and clusters; prioritize selective investment attraction, choosing industrial production enterprises with advanced, modern, environmentally friendly technologies and efficient energy use.
