Dong Nai has 19 seaports

The Ministry of Construction has announced the latest list of ports in the Vietnamese seaport system with 306 ports, of which Dong Nai province has 19 seaports.

According to the list, in the South, Dong Nai is the locality with the third largest number of seaports after Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (48 ports) and Ho Chi Minh City (41 ports). According to the master plan for the development of Vietnam's seaport system in the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Dong Nai seaport belongs to group 4 seaports. In group 4 seaports, Dong Nai seaports are identified as type 1 seaports. Dong Nai will have 3 seaport areas including: Phuoc An, Go Dau, Phuoc Thai; Nhon Trach and Long Binh Tan.

In particular, Phuoc An, Go Dau, Phuoc Thai port areas can receive ships with a capacity of up to 60 thousand tons downstream of Phuoc An bridge and up to 30 thousand tons upstream of Phuoc An bridge to Go Dau, Phuoc Thai. Nhon Trach port area can receive ships with a capacity of up to 45 thousand tons. Long Binh Tan port area has general ports, containers, liquid/gas cargo, ship sizes up to 5 thousand tons.
