Pogba is still unemployed. |
Ahead of the crucial second leg of the Nations League quarter-final between France and Croatia, Pogba posted a series of photos on his personal page, in which he wore the French national team jersey, with the caption: "Always behind you guys! Let's make this shirt shine like you always do. Go, Les Bleus!"
The 32-year-old's post quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of likes in less than an hour. In the photo, Pogba is seen on a football pitch situated between an athletics track, indicating he had just completed a training session to regain his fitness for competition.
Pogba's good luck message to the French national team comes as Didier Deschamps' team lost 0-2 to Croatia in the first leg and faces a major challenge in the second leg. Currently, Pogba is still a free agent and has not yet found a new club.
Recently, he shared his ambition to return to playing for the national team. "Playing for the French national team is great and I've always been a huge fan of theirs," Pogba said. "I'm really looking forward to seeing the team continue to develop and win the World Cup in the future – hopefully I can contribute as a player."
Last month, Pogba was spotted chatting with David Beckham before Inter Miami's opening match of the new MLS season. Unsurprisingly, this exchange sparked rumors about the possibility of the 1993-born midfielder planning a move to play in the United States.
