Speaking at a recent meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, Pham Thanh Ngai, requested that departments, agencies, and localities in the province focus on a comprehensive review of the management and use of public assets; accurately identify actual needs to develop effective usage plans, avoiding deterioration, loss, and waste; clearly decentralize and delegate authority to ensure efficiency in management; and review and propose the conversion of the functions of headquarters in a suitable direction, prioritizing the education and health sectors.

In addition, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requested the Dong Thap Provincial Land Fund Development Center to develop a specific plan for managing and exploiting surplus houses and land under its management; and to publicly disclose this information in accordance with regulations.
