Promoting digital transformation
One of the highlights of this mountainous commune in Zone III is its rapid digital transformation. Despite limited technological infrastructure and equipment at the grassroots level, Dong Xuan has identified digital transformation as the "key" to narrowing the gap with urban areas.
To date, the commune has vigorously implemented the "Digital Literacy Movement," achieving all 8 set goals. Currently, 100% of officials and civil servants use the document management system; 100% of documents are digitally signed; and all 26 digital transformation tasks assigned by the province to the commune have been completed. By 2025, the rate of timely processing of applications will reach over 99%, and the level of citizen satisfaction will reach 100%. With a ranking of 22nd out of 102 communes in Dak Lak province in the public service index, Dong Xuan shows that even mountainous localities can quickly adapt to technology.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung from Long Ha village said that the village and commune regularly organize training sessions to guide people on using smartphones to look up information, monitor agricultural product prices, update weather, and carry out administrative procedures online. Thanks to this, people are gradually becoming familiar with digital technology .
Despite achieving many positive results in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science , technology development and digital transformation, the locality still faces many difficulties. According to Mr. Huynh Tuan An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Xuan commune, the biggest challenge currently is changing the habits of the people, especially the elderly who are still unfamiliar with online procedures and cashless payments.
Achieving double-digit growth targets.
Despite facing numerous challenges, the commune's Party Committee has resolutely pursued the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth in the 2026-2030 period. Accordingly, the locality has developed a management plan with the target of achieving 10.04% growth in 2026 and maintaining a level of 10.04-11.12% in subsequent years.

In addition, the commune adjusted the target for the percentage of laborers participating in social insurance to approximately 30% by 2030, higher than the level set in the previous congress resolution. The locality also focused on resolving bottlenecks in land clearance, developing strong OCOP products such as Xuan Son Nam turmeric starch, An Nhien wild honey, and My Hiep roasted coffee, aiming to expand the market through e-commerce platforms.
Comrade Nguyen Trung Tam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Xuan commune, affirmed: "The double-digit growth target is not a mere formality but stems from practical requirements, aiming to improve the lives of the people after the merger. With a spirit of unity and high determination, the locality will strive to turn difficulties into driving forces for development."
