Suoi Trai commune was formed after the merger of three communes: Suoi Trai, Ea Cha Rang, and Krong Pa. The locality covers an area of nearly 187 km² with 15 villages and hamlets; the population is 11,494 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 78.43%. Immediately after its establishment, Suoi Trai commune identified the need to address the challenge of economic development and improving the lives of ethnic minorities through practical measures.
Through various funding sources, Suoi Trai commune has so far distributed nearly 200 cows to poor households in 15 villages and hamlets. As a result, many households have diligently raised cattle, developed their herds, and gradually escaped poverty. Ms. Ksor H'Rich (Kham hamlet) said: "In 2025, the commune government supported my family with 2 cows. After a period of care and development, the herd has grown to 4 cows. Thanks to this, our family's life has improved."

According to Mr. Soda, Chairman of the People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune, for a locality with a large ethnic minority population, achieving double-digit growth requires many synchronized solutions. Accordingly, in addition to supporting people's livelihoods, the commune government has determined that it is necessary to quickly improve people's digital skills, helping them to access and apply technology to their lives and production.
Accordingly, the commune launched a digital literacy campaign; organized training sessions and guided people on how to use the VNeID application, digital payments, and platforms for handling administrative procedures. The locality organized 15 community digital technology teams with approximately 200 members who went to each village and hamlet to guide people, especially the elderly and ethnic minorities, helping them activate the VNeID system and access administrative procedures through the national data system. Ms. Van Thi Thanh Nha (Phu Son village) happily stated: "After being guided, I can use digital applications on my smartphone, perform some online public services, and make cashless payments. I find it very convenient and meaningful."
The People's Committee of Suoi Trai commune also implemented the program at junior high schools in the area, so that the students themselves could help their families and people access and become familiar with digital skills.

In addition, Suoi Trai commune has focused on administrative reform. To date, the commune's Public Administrative Service Center has implemented management software, digitized records, and processed electronic documents; thereby effectively receiving, resolving, and delivering results for administrative procedures to organizations and individuals. According to data on the National Public Service Portal as of May 18th, the assessment of the quality of service provided to citizens and businesses in carrying out administrative procedures and public services in real time on the electronic environment in Dak Lak province shows that Suoi Trai commune achieved 96.47/100 points, achieving excellent results.
Nguyen Dinh An, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Suoi Trai commune, said: The locality is determined to focus on implementing decisively and promptly the solutions directed by the Central Government and the province, closely adhering to the targets and tasks set by the commune's Party Committee at the beginning of the term. Based on the actual situation, the commune is gradually overcoming difficulties, stabilizing production and business, ensuring social security, and is determined to create strong socio-economic changes in the coming time.
