Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor (a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor) has decided to deploy AI-powered humanoid robots in its automobile production line to increase output.
This robot, named Walker S, is 1.7 meters tall and has body proportions similar to a worker. At the car factory, Walker S will perform various tasks such as checking seat belts, testing door locks, assessing body quality, refueling, and applying labels.
In addition, Walker S is capable of working in conjunction with other automated machines to handle complex unmanned production scenarios.
Lin Changbo, General Manager of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, said: "Walk S is designed for inspection, assembly, and logistics tasks. We hope that introducing humanoid robots into the production line will help increase automobile assembly output."
