On June 6th, the People's Committee of Ba Vinh commune ( Quang Ngai province) reported that functional forces and local people had successfully brought under control a fire that occurred in a post-harvest acacia plantation area in Nuoc Ne village.
According to initial information, at approximately 10:10 AM on the same day, several households were burning undergrowth to prepare for replanting acacia trees after harvesting. However, due to uncontrolled ignition, coupled with prolonged hot weather and strong winds, the fire quickly spread to neighboring acacia plantations.
Upon receiving the report, the Ba Vinh Commune Military Command promptly mobilized officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with functional forces and local people to extinguish the fire.

At the scene, forces used machetes and fire extinguishers to clear vegetation, create firebreaks, and contain the fire to prevent it from spreading further.
However, firefighting efforts faced many difficulties due to the hilly terrain and dense, dry vegetation surrounding the fire. Thanks to the active cooperation of various forces and local residents, the fire was completely extinguished in a short time.
The fire caused no casualties. After bringing the fire under control, authorities continued to inspect the scene and address any remaining smoldering areas to prevent the risk of the fire reigniting.
Local authorities advise people to raise their awareness of forest fire prevention and control; to exercise caution when burning undergrowth after logging, especially during prolonged periods of hot, dry weather, in order to minimize the risk of forest fires.
