Brent crude oil was at $79.02 per barrel at the end of last week, falling to $76.93 per barrel this week. Overall for the week, Brent crude oil decreased by $2.09 per barrel, or 2.6%, compared to the previous week.

Thus, world oil prices have fallen for two consecutive weeks. According to analysts, the sharp drop in oil prices is due to investors weighing expectations of increased OPEC+ supply starting in October, along with dwindling hopes of a significant US interest rate cut next month following data showing strong consumer spending.
