Foreign tourists enjoy helping locals harvest their rice crops.

Recently, a video circulating on Facebook showed a group of foreign tourists helping local people in Ninh Binh province move their rice crops as it was about to rain.

Accordingly, the clip, shared by a local resident, was filmed along the road from Tam Coc to Bich Dong, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province.

The owner of the clip said that when the group of tourists passed by this road and saw the locals hurriedly moving their rice crops because it was about to rain, the whole group enthusiastically helped them.

When the clip went viral on social media, many people expressed their delight and gratitude for the tourists' helpful actions.

However, from a traffic perspective, many people believe that drying rice on the road poses numerous traffic safety risks, especially in a tourist area with a high volume of people and vehicles like this.

Speaking to Giao Thong Newspaper, Major Dinh Xuan Khue, Head of the Traffic Police Team of Hoa Lu District Police (Ninh Binh), said that recently the unit has been raising awareness and reminding people not to dry rice on the road. However, people still take advantage of sunny weather to dry rice when law enforcement is absent.

"In addition to increasing patrols and inspections on the roads, we are continuing to coordinate with local police to educate and encourage people not to dry agricultural products on the roads, to avoid causing traffic safety risks," Major Khue said.

Ninh Binh province is known to be a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists. During the 2024 "Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An" Tourism Week (held from June 1st to 8th), Ninh Binh welcomed 285,000 visitors, including 61,000 international tourists.
