The Thuan An Beach Management Board has mobilized vehicles and machinery to level the beach, preparing to serve tourists during the beach tourism season.

These days, at Thuan An beach, excavators, bulldozers, and environmental sanitation and rescue teams are working at full capacity to focus on upgrading the beach infrastructure. Not only the local government and the Beach Management Board, but also restaurant and business owners are mobilizing manpower and investing funds to renovate their establishments in preparation for welcoming beachgoers and vacationers.

According to Mr. Huynh Van Thong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward and Deputy Head of the Thuan An Beach Management Board, the 2024 rainy season severely affected Thuan An beach when a section of coastline bordering Phu Thuan commune (Phu Vang district) and Thuan An ward suffered erosion of approximately 1,000 meters, encroaching 70 to 100 meters inland. This caused safety hazards for the inter-communal road and tourism service businesses; sidewalks were damaged, and casuarina trees along the internal roads of the beach area were knocked down.

To serve tourists during this year's beach tourism season, starting in early February 2025, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward implemented projects to reclaim eroded beaches, especially at the main beach and the 19/5 beach; and repaired the concrete road system along the border between Thuan An and Phu Thuan beaches. At the same time, they invested in a connecting road to the 19/5 beach, approximately 400 meters long, with an investment of 1.2 billion VND, facilitating access for people and vehicles to the beach. In addition, they constructed two freshwater shower areas to serve locals and tourists free of charge, with a total investment of over 400 million VND. “Previously, tourists had to pay a fee to shower with fresh water at restaurants after swimming in the sea, which was very inconvenient. Soon, with the opening of two freshwater shower areas, locals and tourists will be able to use them freely without charge. This is one of the initiatives aimed at creating a civilized and convenient experience for tourists visiting Thuan An beach,” Mr. Thong added.

At Hai Duong beach, the lighting system for the roads leading to the public beach has been completed, contributing to improved service quality for tourists. In addition, the Thuan An Ward People's Committee is proposing to the Thuan Hoa District People's Committee to request the investor to expedite the construction of the road leading to Hai Duong beach so that it can be completed in time for the beach tourism season. Furthermore, they are working with business owners to request them to improve their stalls, display prices, sell at the listed prices, and supply food that meets hygiene and food safety standards.

One of the meaningful activities soon to be held at Thuan An beach is the "Thuan An Beach Calling 2025" program, scheduled to take place from April 28th to 30th. This is one of the activities in the series of events of the Hue Festival 2025 and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The program will include cultural, artistic, and community sports activities, such as: a boat race on the sea, a kite festival and community kite flying activities, stalls displaying traditional products, folk games, etc.
