| Bao Lam still has a lot of room for developing various types of tourism. |
Practical experience shows that, in recent years, the National Target Program for Building New Rural Areas in Bao Lam has significantly improved rural tourism infrastructure, making it increasingly convenient to access and enjoy tourism values here. Furthermore, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has also increased opportunities for the locality to develop agro-tourism, linking farm experiences with the consumption of agricultural products on-site. Recognizing the dual economic potential of combining agricultural production with tourism activities, several businesses and households in Bao Lam district have proactively grasped market trends and followed the direction of Lam Dong province to invest in developing agro-tourism, enriching tourism products. Tam Chau Farm (Hamlet 4, Loc Tan commune) and Olala Glamping (Hamlet 2, Loc Quang commune) are two pioneering units in building tourism models linked to agricultural production in Bao Lam.
According to Mr. Dang Kim Khanh, representative of Olala Glamping, the natural ecosystem and unique agricultural practices are the tourism resources of Olala Glamping. Besides sightseeing and camping, visitors can also experience firsthand the work of planting vegetables, harvesting durian and coffee, and learn about the green, circular agricultural production process. Of course, visitors will also have other options such as: enjoying local specialties (coffee, durian...), admiring the natural scenery (mountains, lakes, tea gardens...), and experiencing the life of farmers... Tam Chau Farm was formed from the investment in the Tam Chau Tea Plantation Project with a total area of 65 hectares. Of this, 64 hectares are used for growing high-quality Oolong tea, and 1 hectare for constructing infrastructure. Tam Chau Farm is an ideal destination for learning about Oolong tea and the tea processing process. Here, visitors can also experience the coffee processing process and participate in the Matcha tea production process – produced according to Japanese standards. A representative from Tam Chau Farm stated that this is the most advanced and unique process currently possessed by the farm. Tam Chau Farm also features a tea tasting area and an eco-tourism service area.
Although only recently recognized as an agro-tourism destination by Lam Dong province, Tam Chau Farm and Olala Glamping are opening up a new direction in Bao Lam – a locality with great potential for developing agro-tourism. This type of tourism involves experiencing agricultural production, enjoying agricultural products, admiring natural landscapes, and exchanging knowledge. Through these activities, trade is boosted, contributing to the consumption of local agricultural products and increasing income for organizations and individuals. Furthermore, through agro-tourism, local cultural values are gradually promoted. This is also a product of agro-tourism that offers visitors many new experiences.
