Ganh Den Lighthouse is located in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province. The Ganh Den lighthouse is simply a beacon that helps ships operating in the Phu Yen sea area navigate in and out of Xuan Dai Bay.
In particular, the lighthouse's light can illuminate a distance of approximately 17 nautical miles. It can be said that the Ganh Den lighthouse is like a silent hero, undeterred by sun, rain, or storms, fulfilling its mission of protecting fishermen in the distant sea.
The place was originally called Black Rock Cliff because it was formed from earth-colored rocks lying close together and stacked on top of each other, running along the vast coastline. After a lighthouse was built here to assist fishermen in their nighttime operations, people gave it a more affectionate name: Lighthouse Cliff.
At different times of the day, the Ganh Den lighthouse takes on a unique and distinct appearance. Sometimes it's dreamy and gentle, but at other times it's wild and captivating, leaving visitors in awe.
According to travel experience, Ganh Den is most beautiful at sunset or at night. The sunset scenery, with the sunlight reflecting off the large rocks, creates a stunning color effect that never disappoints visitors.
If you've made the time to visit Ganh Den Lighthouse, remember to linger a little longer to enjoy the rich sea breeze, the clear blue sky, and the gentle sound of the waves.
Majestic, pristine cliffs
With its timeless beauty, the Ganh Den lighthouse stands out amidst the vast expanse of land, sky, and sea, making everyone feel a strange sense of familiarity and affection.
Stretching along the coastline for about 1km, Ganh Den is formed by pale pink rocks lying close together, stacked randomly on top of each other. Viewed from afar, it looks like a masterpiece of nature painted by the skillful hands of a talented artist.
In addition, smooth rocks of various sizes lie scattered, creating numerous small crevices. Interspersed among the large rocks are large, resilient sea almond trees that have survived for many years.
In addition, the spacious areas at the foot of the lighthouse are also considered ideal locations for picnics and camping. What could be better than enjoying yourself on a rocky outcrop with picturesque natural scenery?
The lighthouse stands tall
Standing out against the pristine rocky cliffs is the Ganh Den lighthouse, with its dominant white and red colors, towering 10 meters high and approximately 22 meters above sea level. Although it doesn't possess any particularly striking or unique architectural features, the Ganh Den lighthouse is among the top 79 lighthouses in Vietnam and leaves a lasting impression on many visitors.
The natural landscape, with its numerous islands and rocky outcrops in the southern part of Xuan Dai Bay, blends together to create a peaceful scene where you can freely breathe in the fresh air and admire the expansive sounds of the sea.
A romantic night scene
As night falls, the natural landscape becomes poetic and majestic. Amidst the pristine wilderness, the night sky over Ganh Den resembles a Milky Way filled with shimmering, magical stars.
There's nothing better than spending time with friends and family amidst such picturesque scenery.
