In the bustling atmosphere of the year-end days, on key projects in Ha Tinh City, construction units are rushing to complete items so that the city can welcome the new year 2024 with a bright, green, clean, and beautiful appearance.

For the past several days, Phan Dinh Phung street has been practically sleepless. From early morning until late at night, construction units have mobilized maximum resources and manpower to complete construction items, bury power lines underground, and dismantle and clear wires to ensure the central street has a clean and tidy appearance before welcoming the new year.

The Ha Tinh City Power Company and VNPT Ha Tinh are coordinating to replace overhead power lines and fiber optic cables with a modern underground cable system.

In recent days, despite periods of severe cold weather and low temperatures in Ha Tinh City, the morale of the workers on the construction site has not been affected.

Workers are completing the paving of the sidewalks, creating a bright, airy, and modern space for the street.

Along with Phan Dinh Phung Street, the Nguyen Cong Tru Street upgrade project is also at its peak, with efforts being intensified to expedite its progress.

Determined to complete the project before the Lunar New Year, Vinh Phu Construction Co., Ltd. implemented a phased construction approach, simultaneously assembling and connecting drainage components, building technical trench infrastructure, and paving sidewalks. According to Mr. Pham Van Duc, a technical officer at Vinh Phu Construction Co., Ltd., to allow residents to celebrate the New Year, the company maintained construction progress to complete the items according to the principle of "cleaning up as you go"; at the same time, it cleaned up the site and removed construction materials to avoid disrupting the festive atmosphere of the new year.

On the construction site of the extended Xuan Dieu road project (the section from the northern urban ring road to Ngo Quyen road), the sounds of machinery and people are bustling.

The 1.8 km long project began construction in September 2023 with a total investment of 234 billion VND. According to the construction units, to ensure the progress and volume of work are met, the construction site regularly has dozens of types of machinery, transport vehicles, and hundreds of workers diligently working.

To date, the project is 40% complete. The contractors are focusing on the construction of the foundation, drainage ditches, precast concrete, and the relocation of the power infrastructure.

As the end of the year approaches, the work atmosphere becomes increasingly urgent and hectic in order to ensure that the capital disbursement plan is met.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Thang, a technical officer at Khanh Mon Construction Co., Ltd., said that the company has taken full advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate construction progress. On days with good weather and no rain, the company organizes night shifts. Despite the pressure of a large workload, the entire company is highly focused and committed to ensuring the city's capital disbursement plan is met. To date, the company has completed 100% of its 2023 disbursement plan.

2023 marked a significant milestone when the Eastern Ring Road Project of Ha Tinh City officially commenced construction. After 10 months of construction (starting in February 2023), the strategic road expanding the city's urban space has now taken shape.

To date, the project has completed over 30% of the construction volume, meeting the planned disbursement of funds.

Even in the final days of the year, the construction work remains bustling and urgent.

According to the construction units, in the coming days, the construction site of the Eastern Ring Road Project in Ha Tinh City will work continuously throughout the holiday period to create a new momentum and a new beginning with many advantages and smooth sailing in the new year 2024.

According to the City's Investment, Construction and Land Development Project Management Board, in general, the projects being implemented in the area are meeting construction schedules, making a significant contribution to the disbursement of local funds.

As of December 28, 2023, the total disbursed capital from the central, provincial, and city budgets by the Project Management Board for Investment, Construction, and Land Development of Ha Tinh City was 936,985 million VND, estimated at 90% of the allocated capital plan. The unit is continuing to closely monitor the progress of projects, urging and creating all conditions for contractors to implement effective and safe construction solutions, ensuring the quality of the works.
