Go-Kart racing was a competition organized by Lac Hong University on the morning of June 27th at Dai Nam racetrack (Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong ). It was a playground for third-year students passionate about building their own racing vehicles.
This is the second time the competition has been held, with 17 teams participating. Each team can register a maximum of 15 members. The school provides a gasoline-powered generator engine with a cylinder capacity of approximately 150 cm3, a power of 5 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 7.5 Nm. The students must build the other parts of the vehicle themselves to participate in the race.
According to Dr. Hoang Ngoc Tan, Head of Automotive Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the playground helps students participate in practical training, experience building vehicles, and enhance soft skills such as teamwork and assigning roles to each team member. "The playground helps students improve their skills and apply their knowledge to real-world situations more effectively," Dr. Tan said.
