Earlier, at around 4 PM on September 13th, children LMYS, KYT (both born in 2016) and KYL (born in 2019), all residing in Duc Binh commune, went swimming in the river and were swept away by the current. Hearing their cries for help, local residents managed to rescue KYL in time.

At 5:30 PM, authorities found the body of child KYT and handed it over to the family for burial. Child LMYS is still missing.
Local authorities are mobilizing all available resources on the spot and have requested the Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant to temporarily shut off the water supply to support the search for victims.
