According to the Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, Duong No village communal house is where President Ho Chi Minh lived and studied during his childhood 128 years ago.
Duong No is the land that witnessed the years when young Nguyen Sinh Cung (President Ho Chi Minh) grew up and began his schooling. It is where he lived amidst the warmth of community spirit, the love and support of the people, and immersed himself in the traditional cultural life of the community.

It can be said that the years spent here, the spirit of the land, and the warmth of the people contributed to shaping the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh into a brilliant intellect, a passionate heart, a noble spirit, and above all, a deep love for his homeland and his fellow countrymen, which transformed into a burning desire to save the country and its people.

Four precious memorial sites related to President Ho Chi Minh in Duong No village include: the house where he once lived, Duong No village communal house, Am Ba temple, and Ben Da wharf where he often visited to enjoy himself and experience the cultural space of Duong No village. Preserved for over a century, these sites are testament to the affection and respect of the people of Hue in general, and the people of Duong No village in particular, for him.

Following the success of the three previous Duong No Village Festivals, the 2026 Duong No Village Festival will take place from the evening of May 14th to the end of May 16th in the central area of Duong No village, from the village communal house to the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House along the clear blue Pho Loi River.

According to the Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, the Duong No Village Festival, with its rich series of activities such as: a procession and offering of lotus flowers to President Ho Chi Minh, art programs, reenactments of the Ho family naming ceremony of ethnic minority people in the western part of Hue City by artisans bearing the Ho surname; exhibitions and demonstrations of the A Luoi Dèng weaving craft, Bai Choi folk art, cuisine , and boat races on the Pho Loi River… are meticulously organized and attractive, creating a vibrant and distinctive cultural picture.

At the Duong No Village Festival, visitors and locals not only get to experience the rich traditional culture of Hue's countryside, but also immerse themselves in a sacred journey of memories, where history and the present intertwine in a deeply moving way. This is also an opportunity to express our profound gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh; and at the same time, to awaken national pride, educate the younger generation about patriotism, and the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source"...
As the place where President Ho Chi Minh spent more than 10 years during his childhood (from 1895-1901 and from 1906-1909), Hue City currently preserves approximately 20 relics and historical sites related to President Ho Chi Minh. In recent years, alongside the work of preserving these relics, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City has implemented the project "Promoting the Value of Ho Chi Minh Relics in Hue City to Serve Tourism Development". The project clearly defines the goal of developing tourism products associated with Ho Chi Minh relics, building routes and tours that combine traditional education, and incorporating experiential activities and recreating spaces associated with President Ho Chi Minh's childhood into Hue's cultural tourism programs…
The "Following in the Footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh's Childhood in Hue" tours have become part of a tourism route visiting memorial sites related to President Ho Chi Minh, connecting the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Memorial House on Mai Thuc Loan Street, Duong No Village, Hue National High School, etc. Every year, these tours welcome tens of thousands of domestic and international visitors; many groups of students, officials, and soldiers from the area and many provinces and cities choose this place as a location for traditional activities, political study, and cultivating ideals in life…
