On June 3rd, Microwave Soups – the company responsible for the art direction and set design of the " Come My Way" music video – posted an apology to artist Le Giang, the creator of the installation artwork "Vestige of the Land" (Tàn chỉ) created in 2017.
In their role developing the visuals for the project, the team "referenced the sculptural language of the relief fragments" in Le Giang's work but did not ask for permission, discuss it with her, or seek her input from the beginning.
Microwave Soups acknowledges this as a shortcoming on their part during the development of the set design for Son Tung's project. They take responsibility for not being thorough and meticulous enough in their work process, recognizing that each artwork is the result of serious creative work, bearing the personal imprint of the artist.
The production team added that the lack of prior consultation and consultation caused artist Le Giang to feel hurt and disrespected. The team apologized for their careless handling of the work and the author, and acknowledged the author's feedback.
As soon as they realized the problem, Microwave Soups, along with representatives from Antiantiart – the unit involved in producing and coordinating the project – proactively contacted artist Le Giang to apologize and discuss a solution.

The parties are continuing to work in good faith to find a suitable solution. Microwave Soups apologizes to its partners, individuals, and organizations involved for any unforeseen impact.
Son Tung's team also called this a "costly lesson" in managing sources and product review. The company committed to seriously reviewing and tightening internal operating procedures to prevent similar mistakes from recurring in the future.
The production and project coordination unit admitted fault for not strictly controlling the set design process, took responsibility for the overall coordination and control, and apologized to Son Tung for the impact he suffered after the incident.
On June 2nd, the non-profit arts organization Grapevine posted an article on Threads, sparking debate about the similarities between Le Giang's installation artwork , Vestige of the Land, and the scene that appears around 3:55 in the music video "Come My Way ." The organization also released the content of email exchanges between the artist and the project's production team.
In the email, artist Le Giang questioned the origin of the inspiration for the setting in the music video and suggested that the set had some similarities to a work she did in 2017.
