Coach Enrique reacted strongly to concerns about Ousmane Dembele's form.

“My goal as a coach is to get the players in the best condition,” Enrique told RMC Sports . “Sometimes you (journalists) make up absurd stories, ask Ousmane directly. Everyone always manages their emotions in the best way they can.”

The PSG coach's statement came after PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by Nantes on April 23, in a midweek match in Ligue 1. Dembele started the match at Nantes, but was substituted after about an hour of play.

The Frenchman failed to score, had just one shot on target and had two touches in the Nantes penalty area during his time on the pitch. French media later expressed concern about Dembele's form, suggesting the player had psychological problems.

This is the fourth consecutive match Dembele has failed to score, raising concerns ahead of the clash with Arsenal. However, coach Enrique insists he is not worried about his star.

“It doesn’t matter to me if a player is disappointed after a game. Playing away is always difficult, especially in a stadium like Nantes, with a great atmosphere. Now the team needs to rest and focus on the weekend, because it will be a completely different game,” he stressed.

Dembele has been a key player for PSG this season. He has scored 32 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions, helping PSG to leave their rivals far behind in the Ligue 1 title race. However, Dembele's decline in April has worried many PSG fans.
