Essensia Sky creates sustainable living standards from building materials

Người Lao ĐộngNgười Lao Động20/11/2024

Located on Nguyen Huu Tho street, Essensia Sky is a "bright spot" in the Vietnamese real estate market, created by Phu Long with green and sustainable living values.

New initiatives help to green buildings.

According to reports from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the construction industry accounts for 39% of global CO2 emissions, with approximately 11% of this coming from the production of key building materials, including cement. To protect the environment, reducing carbon emissions in cement production is crucial.

Many real estate developers in Vietnam are actively seeking solutions to reduce CO2 emissions, from using green materials to leveraging natural resources throughout the building's lifecycle. Among these, carbon-mineralized concrete is a new innovation in the construction sector.

This technology is based on the principle of mixing carbon dioxide ( CO2 ) from the air or exhaust sources into concrete in the form of calcium carbonate, permanently "trapping" the CO2 within the concrete structure. MIT research shows that this carbon mineralization process can absorb up to 15% of the total CO2 generated from cement production, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of concrete. Not only does this reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but it also reduces the need for cement without compromising the mechanical properties of concrete, such as its structure and durability.

The carbon-mineralized concrete initiative demonstrates that greening solutions in the construction sector are becoming increasingly concrete and accessible. This new material is also gradually gaining popularity worldwide and is being used in several real estate projects in Vietnam. A notable example is Essensia Sky – the first twin tower of the Essensia South Saigon complex within Dragon City – developed by Phu Long.

Essensia Sky - a green and sustainable real estate project

With the desire to create a happy home – a place that nurtures the soul and prioritizes health for the community – Phu Long has built Essensia Sky based on sustainable standards.

Accordingly, the developer is applying CarbonCure technology with carbon-absorbing concrete in the building's structural framework, helping to reduce carbon emissions during the construction phase. Once operational, this sustainable concrete can eliminate thousands of tons of carbon compared to conventional materials, providing an effect equivalent to planting hundreds of thousands of trees over 10 years.

In addition, the project uses environmentally friendly paints, contributing to the health of residents. The safety glass windows help reduce noise and heat, creating a quiet, cool space necessary for family members to rest and recharge.

If green building materials help developers minimize carbon emissions from the outset, then implementing offsetting measures is the next step to achieve that goal. Efforts to reduce building density, increase green spaces and water features, and design for greater natural light to reduce energy consumption have been incorporated by developers from the project planning stage.

Happy residents will enjoy a sustainable living environment, utilizing technological amenities with green solutions, tap water filtration systems, solar-powered lighting in public areas, and more, creating a sustainable, modern, and safe living experience for all residents.

Under the skillful hands of architects from Tange Associates (Japan), the Essensia Sky apartments are designed based on the principle of harmonizing with nature, featuring diverse, square layouts, ceiling heights up to 3.4m, and all apartments having 2-4 sides facing the wind, like unique, private "villas in the sky" filled with natural light.

To create a complete and sustainable green living ecosystem, the developer integrates a chain of 50 amenities right at your doorstep, fully meeting the needs of residents of all ages for healthcare, sports , recreation, and relaxation. Notably, the project dedicates up to 70% of its construction area to multi-layered amenities and green spaces – a feature rarely found in other projects.

The salt electrolysis infinity pool is also a green, health-focused solution that Phu Long has invested in for the residents of Essensia Sky.

In reality, the vision of sustainable development always comes with many challenges. But for Phu Long, these investments are necessary to promote the trend of green building and environmental protection in the real estate sector in Vietnam, extending the journey of creating sustainable values for the community. Above all, this is a "passport" for Phu Long to access international standards for real estate development, aiming to win over even the most demanding customers in terms of not only quality and finance, but also sustainability.

On November 16th, Phu Long Company officially opened the Phu Long Pavilion business center, offering customers the opportunity to learn about the company's projects across the country with unique experiences, and to see firsthand the Essensia Sky show apartment, the first green and health-focused apartment in the Essensia South Saigon complex.
