Facebook has strange character string

VTC NewsVTC News09/12/2024

On the morning of December 9, many Facebook users in Vietnam and internationally reported that this social network had an error that caused strange lines of characters to appear in the position displaying the time of the post. The error only occurred when accessing the web version of Facebook and did not affect the mobile application, nor did it affect all users.

Specifically, instead of displaying the time of the post, users see a long string of meaningless characters. Although this problem does not affect the ability to log in or use basic Facebook features, it is still annoying and confusing for many people, as they feel like Facebook is "hacked".

Facebook has yet to officially comment on the issue. Some people have tried to fix the issue by clearing their browsing history, cookies, cache, restarting their browser, or switching to another browser.

Facebook has also been experiencing various bugs recently. For example, there was a time when some users reported that they could not upload photos and videos to Facebook, had difficulty logging into their accounts. Or display issues such as when some users could not scroll down their page and only saw two posts before getting a notification that there were no more posts.

Facebook also occasionally experiences sharing errors where some users are unable to share posts or post comments.

Facebook bugs can cause serious damage to both users and businesses. Major issues can cause significant financial damage to Facebook. In some cases, bugs can lead to the loss of personal data or important information. For example, the October 4, 2021, incident cost Facebook billions of dollars in lost stock value and advertising revenue.
