Bride Nguyen Minh Ngoc (born in 1991, living in Ho Chi Minh City) said she is an ARMY - a fan of the Korean band BTS. She had been nurturing the idea of this unique wedding since before getting married. Ngoc wanted to preserve unforgettable memories and her journey of growing up with BTS's music on the most important day of her life.
She began planning her youthful wedding in 20 days, from decorating to organizing the performances…
The entire wedding was related to BTS, from the dominant purple color scheme and purple wedding flowers to the music used, which consisted entirely of BTS songs: the theme song, the wedding entrance music, the performance music, the DJ set, the closing theme… The wedding's theme phrase, "I Purple You," is also a very famous quote from BTS.

Minh Ngoc shared that their love journey is intertwined with important moments in the lives of their idols, BTS, such as waiting to attend concerts, waiting for new album releases, watching YouTube daily and hourly whenever their idols release new music, going to see idol movies, and buying idol-related merchandise…
"Maybe other guys don't have these kinds of moments. But my groom has always been supportive and enjoyed my hobby, even though he has no concept of K-pop. So when I told him about this idea, he immediately supported it," she said.
She also said that both families are very understanding. They always say, "Remember, this is a special day for you two, so make it meaningful and something that truly resonates with you both."

So, a BTS-themed wedding was held. Guests were surprised to see how creative the wedding was. Many friends, who are also BTS fans like the bride, knew all the songs from the wedding by heart, from the instrumental intro to the bouquet toss.
One guest even posted a photo on social media boasting, "As the bride walked down the aisle, Euphoria was playing in the background, and I suddenly wished I was sitting next to Jungkook instead of my boyfriend."
Another person even boasted about sending congratulations to the couple by renting a billboard. Initially, they intended to place it at Jungkook's performance venue, but since all the space was taken, they chose to place the billboard in Times Square in New York City, USA, nearby.
"All the guests at the wedding felt a sense of familiarity, because the wedding was deeply personal, reflecting the couple's journey of love. Many older guests were moved to tears when they heard the couple exchange their vows," the bride recounted.

The groom, Nguyen Hoang Duong (born in 1991), said he was most pleased with the secret performance his wife prepared for him.
The groom is currently an artist and film screenwriter, while the bride is the founder of a creative agency in Ho Chi Minh City. They were friends before but didn't talk much. Then, the groom sent a New Year's greeting text message, and that's when they started chatting and got to know each other.
"During a trip , my wife unexpectedly encountered a pod of dolphins. The boat driver said, 'Make a wish quickly, meeting dolphins brings great luck.' She wished for a beautiful love story. On New Year's Eve, I texted her to wish her a happy new year. We had known each other for a few years before, but rarely spoke. Coincidentally, those dolphins helped us find this love," he excitedly recounted.
Besides the purple color and BTS music, the wedding had many other interesting features: the stage was recreated, inspired by the famous Jardin de Tuileries garden in Paris, where the bride would be picked up by the groom every afternoon after school and they would go for lemon ice cream; the photobooth resembled an art exhibition; the couple watered plants, lit candles, and poured tea for each other instead of the traditional rituals of pouring wine, cutting the cake, and raising a glass to toast… Friends from all over the world continuously sent videos to congratulate them…
On social media, netizens continuously shared interesting photos from the wedding. The bride, Minh Ngoc, was extremely happy to see that her special day was supported by so many friends who share the same interests.

According to her, love has no limits or rules. She lived in love, being herself and having her lover support all her interests. Therefore, she wanted to preserve the memorable moments in her life, as well as the memories they shared, through every small detail of their wedding and the music that has been associated with their love.
"Every event in life is an important moment, so make it truly meaningful for yourself. Before we became husband and wife, we were friends. I told the groom that I cherish this friendship and hope that even in the next life, we will meet again and be friends once more. I hope that other couples will have beautiful and memorable love experiences," she said.
