FPT brings 10Gbps internet to Vietnamese users

On August 22, at the technology event “Lead the speed” held in Ho Chi Minh City, FPT officially launched the SpeedX solution integrating new generation wireless transmission and connection technology XGS-PON and Wi-Fi 7, marking a pioneering step in bringing new internet connection standards to Vietnamese users.

Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Chairman ofFPT Telecom, introduced the SpeedX solution integrating new generation wireless transmission and connection technology XGS-PON and Wi-Fi 7.

According to information from FPT, with the combination of two most modern technologies, XGS-PON and Wi-Fi 7, SpeedX is capable of creating an internet "superhighway" that allows nearly 100 devices to connect at the same time while still ensuring the most optimal performance for each device.

The extremely large bandwidth of up to 10Gbps completely eliminates the situation where one person downloading a game affects another person watching YouTube or meeting online. Or for families using the smarthome ecosystem, SpeedX ensures that all devices from lights, curtains, air conditioners, robot vacuum cleaners to security systems are always connected, respond instantly and operate smoothly.

For gamers, waiting hours to download a large blockbuster game is a thing of the past. XGS-PON technology allows downloading a large game file in just under 1 minute. For movie lovers, a tens of GB 8K quality movie can be downloaded in just a few seconds, ready for a home entertainment experience that is not inferior to the cinema.

The big difference with this technology is that it offers symmetrical speeds of up to 10Gbps for both download and upload, which is a game-changer for streamers, YouTubers, designers, and professionals working with big data.

With Wi-Fi 7 installed, uploading 4K/8K videos , backing up hundreds of GB of data to cloud computing platforms, or sending complex technical drawings will no longer be an obstacle, helping to optimize work performance and unleash creativity.

Also at the event, FPT officially introduced the FangTV application developed by FPT Play, a livestream platform dedicated to Gaming and eSports. FangTV is one of the first social networks in Vietnam licensed to operate under Decree 147/2024/ND-CP on Management, provision and use of internet services and online information.

The launch of FangTV marks FPT Play's pioneering step in building a specialized digital ecosystem, serving the increasing entertainment and connection needs of the domestic gaming and e -sports community.
