Exhibition of National Achievements: Relive historical moments, gain a deeper understanding of the value of independence and freedom, the aspirations and will of Vietnam

On the afternoon of August 22, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in 3 years (2023-2025) held a domestic and international press conference to inform about the "Exhibition of National Achievements: 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" and to promote the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Attending the press conference were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Lai Xuan Mon; Alternate Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Dinh Thi Mai.

Also attending the Press Conference were leaders of relevant ministries and branches; leaders of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television, Vietnam News Agency and representatives of domestic and international press agencies.

Before the press conference, the opening ceremony of the Press Center for the Exhibition of National Achievements: 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness took place.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to inaugurate the Exhibition Press Center.

Speaking at the opening of the Press Conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that over the past 80 years, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Vietnam has written heroic pages of history: the historic August Revolution, the Dien Bien Phu Victory that resounded throughout the world, shook the world, the Great Spring Victory of 1975 that unified the country... Every step of the Vietnamese people is soaked in sweat, blood, and indomitable will.

The 80-year journey is also a journey of strong growth, Vietnam has become a country with an increasingly high position in the international arena. That is the result of comprehensive innovation, the solidarity of the entire nation. Vietnam has achieved many great achievements in all aspects: economy, politics, national defense, security, socio-culture, foreign affairs... On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned by the Government to preside over the organization of the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme: 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh delivered the opening speech at the Press Conference.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said: The exhibition takes place from August 28 to September 5, this is a particularly important event in the series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.

"The exhibition is not only a place for us to admire artifacts and documents, but also a space to display the country's outstanding achievements over the past 80 years. So that every citizen, especially the young generation, can relive historical moments, understand more deeply the value of independence and freedom as well as understand more deeply the aspirations, will and intelligence of Vietnam," said Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.

According to Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, under the direction of the leaders of the Party, State and Government, the Vietnam Exhibition Center - the venue of the Exhibition, was built and completed in less than 10 months. This is the Top 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world, showing the aspiration, will, intelligence and spirit of Vietnam.

At the Exhibition, the Organizing Committee also established a press center to serve reporters reporting on the Exhibition. The Organizing Committee will also create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign reporters to report on the Exhibition.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh believes that with the attention of the press agencies, we will have a series of successful National Day celebrations, not only marking a milestone in the country's history but also leaving a deep mark in each person's life.

At the Press Conference, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong informed about the contents and activities at the Exhibition.

Accordingly, the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day with the theme Radiant Vietnam: 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness is nationwide, a major event never before held with the participation of ministries, branches, central organizations, 34 provinces and cities, enterprises, strategic partner countries, diplomatic corps...

The exhibition is divided into many display areas including:

  Deputy Prime Minister visits exhibition spaces of 12 cultural industries

The general exhibition area (Kim Quy Exhibition Hall) with the theme of Vietnam - the journey to a new era. The general exhibition area includes horizontal slices of history and vertical slices of core values, great achievements and immortal legends of the history of building and defending the country of Vietnam, led on an experiential journey containing profound messages.

There will be an exhibition space with the theme of Vietnam - Country - People implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, displaying culture, art, and common achievements including Vietnamese culture; introducing and honoring the beauty of nature, country and people of Vietnam.

The exhibition space themed 95 years of the Party flag lighting the way, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, will display and recreate major events, brilliant milestones in modern Vietnamese history, and the country's achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam through the ages.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong informed about the Exhibition at the Press Conference.

The Development Creation exhibition space, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and ministries, branches, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies, will tell about the development history and achievements in various fields of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The exhibition space with the theme of Rich Provinces and Strong Countries displays achievements in the renovation period; history of formation, development and transformation, along with cultural identity, advantages and development potential of 34 provinces and cities.

The exhibition space with the theme of Economic Locomotives displays the development achievements of state-owned enterprises that are Vietnam's economic locomotives, carried out by state-owned enterprises that are Vietnam's economic locomotives.

The exhibition space with the theme of Entrepreneurship and Nation Building displays the achievements of typical private enterprises and national brand enterprises expressing the aspiration to build a prosperous and strong country. And the space for performing art programs: The international exhibition area and 12 cultural industries (at the Exhibition Hall Block A) with the theme of Integration and Creativity are divided into 2 exhibition spaces. In which, the exhibition space with the theme of Vietnam and the world will be the exhibition space of the diplomatic sector and embassies in Vietnam. Including strategic partner countries, comprehensive partners with Vietnam; special relationship partners such as Laos, Cambodia, Cuba and other countries; intergovernmental organizations with representative offices in Vietnam and contributing to promoting the country's deep integration process with the world, including United Nations agencies; International Monetary Fund and World Bank...

The exhibition space with the theme "Creativity for construction" will display and arrange works and products of 12 cultural industries and achievements in each field: Advertising; Architecture; Software and entertainment games; Handicrafts; Design; Cinema; Publishing; Fashion; Performing arts; Fine arts, Photography and Exhibitions; Television and radio; Cultural tourism...
