Starting from the need to digitize the technical drawing extraction process, which was currently being performed manually by over 200 personnel, the client approachedFPT for a technological solution. With the goal of automating a large portion of the workload to save costs and increase accuracy, the client entrusted FPT with the role of consultant, designer, and integrateer of a comprehensive artificial intelligence solution into the new system.
This confidence stems from the success of the first testing phase (MVP - Minimum Viable Product) in mid-2023, when FPT exceeded expectations with an accuracy rate of up to 83% - 30% higher than the initial requirement.

After completing the technology effectiveness demonstration phase in just 4 months, the project entered phase two from the beginning of 2024 and was officially completed on March 31st, including the warranty period. Throughout the implementation process, the project team maintained an average size of approximately 35 members per month, with the participation of many experts from core units of FPT Software.
The FPT team in the US is responsible for direct customer connection and support, while the Quy Nhon Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Center (QAI) and engineering teams in Vietnam handle solution consulting, technology development, and implementation quality assurance. The project also marks a breakthrough by simultaneously applying advanced artificial intelligence technologies such as computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and the most modern techniques currently available (SOTA - State of the Art).
FPT's solution helps customers create a clear competitive advantage: the system can extract entire drawings instead of processing each page individually like existing products on the market. At the same time, the system links disparate information to provide data at both detailed and overall levels – helping to shorten processing time, reduce costs, and expand application capabilities to other processes within the business.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in architectural activities and the issues raised regarding intellectual property rights were among the topics of interest to the delegates. Mr. Tran Thanh Hung, representing the implementation team, shared: “From the beginning, FPT identified this as a challenging project in terms of both technology and business. However, thanks to the perseverance of the entire team and the smooth coordination between all parties, the project was successfully completed and received very high praise from the client. In particular, the client's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) expressed a desire to visit Vietnam next May to learn more about FPT's implementation capabilities in areas beyond artificial intelligence – confirming the trust and expectations that the client has for FPT.”
This is the largest-scale offshore AI project that FPT has ever undertaken, marking a journey of continuous effort, the "Oneteam" spirit, and close collaboration between FPT and its clients.
