According to the Hai Phong railway station management, with the desire to promote and develop tourism , after consulting with relevant authorities, the Hai Phong railway station will have its architectural and landscape restored.

Specifically, there will be a souvenir shop; the exterior of the train station will be repainted to enhance its aesthetic appeal in the French style; the greenery in front of the station will be rearranged and redesigned… At the same time, a café will be set up inside the train station – a place where tourists can enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere.
Some offices will be streamlined to utilize the remaining space in the station for souvenir shops, exhibition rooms, etc. At Hai Phong station, both tourist activities will be maintained, serving as a tourist destination while continuing to operate passenger pick-up and drop-off services as before.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City, in addition to the above activities, the Department will also organize the "Hai Phong Delicious Food Festival" in 2025 from May 9-14, 2025 at Hai Phong train station. The event will attract over 40 food stalls featuring Hai Phong's delicious dishes, specialties from various localities in the city, and tourist souvenirs.

To develop railway tourism products, Vietnam Railways Corporation plans to put 20 new carriages into operation on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line. The carriages are designed with modern features, luxurious interiors, and will be named the "Red Phoenix Flower" train. The launch of this tourism product is expected before May 13, 2025.
With a history spanning 120 years, Hai Phong railway station still retains its ancient beauty, deeply rooted in French architecture, preserving the memories of a bygone era of the city. Hai Phong Railway Station was built by the French and put into operation in 1902. It is one of the four main stations on the 99 km railway line connecting Hai Phong with Hanoi.

The clock case is 120 years old; the old mechanical clock mechanism has broken down and been replaced with an electronic one.

The people of Hai Phong will never forget the event of President Ho Chi Minh's special train journey from Hanoi to Hai Phong and back. During the resistance war against the French, the army and people of the Route 5 front achieved historical miracles. When peace was restored, President Ho Chi Minh, returning from Hanoi to Hai Phong, wrote the article "The Heroic Route 5".
Hai Phong railway station is one of the few remaining railway stations in Vietnam that strongly reflects French architectural style, alongside those in Hue (Thua Thien Hue), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), and Da Lat (Lam Dong).
Today, in addition to transporting passengers and goods, Hai Phong train station is one of the famous check-in locations in the city of red flamboyant flowers.
