Not long ago, sources from Hankyung (South Korea) reported that the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra would use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor for Galaxy globally. Although the company had previously announced the use of the Exynos 2500 chip for the S25 and S25+, the latest report indicates they have changed their minds.
And recently, Google's latest report further fuels speculation that the Galaxy S25 will have a version equipped with the Dimensity 9400 chip.

In a statement on September 26th, Google Deepmind mentioned that external organizations are also adopting and building on AlphaChip. For example, MediaTek—one of the world's leading chip design companies—has widely adopted AlphaChip to accelerate the development of their most advanced chips—such as the Dimensity Flagship 5G used in Samsung phones—while improving energy efficiency, performance, and chip area.
It's known that Samsung has never used the Dimensity 900 series chips for its high-end phones. Therefore, if Google's statement is true, it's highly likely that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will use the Dimensity 9400 processor globally.
The use of the Dimensity chip will alleviate concerns for Galaxy S25 users regarding performance and temperature – issues that have always plagued the Exynos version.
Samsung has used the Dimensity 9300+ chip in the recently launched Galaxy Tab S10 series instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy as originally planned. This is a sign that the company is ready to bring top-of-the-line MediaTek processors to the upcoming Galaxy S series.
