According to statistics from Hanoi Metro Company Limited, an average of over 480,000 passengers travel on the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line 3.1 each month.

After six months of commercial operation, nearly 3.4 million passengers have traveled on the line. Notably, the percentage of passengers using monthly passes accounts for over 60% of the total number of passengers. This data shows that urban rail is becoming a popular and frequently used form of public transportation, especially among students, working professionals, and others.
Currently, the underground section from Cau Giay to Hanoi Station is under intensive construction, with the goal of completing and putting it into operation in 2026.
Previously, from August 8, 2024, the Nhon - Hanoi Station urban railway line officially began operating its elevated section. During the first 15 days of free fares, the number of passengers experiencing the service reached over 100,500 - a record number for an urban railway line in Hanoi.
Hanoi Metro aims for the Cat Linh - Ha Dong line to operate 81,345 train trips in 2025, a 0.37% increase compared to 2024. The projected passenger volume is over 12.7 million, a 7.4% increase compared to 2024.
With the Nhon - Hanoi Station line (elevated section), it is expected to operate 80,000 train trips; the projected passenger volume is over 6.5 million.
In 2025, Hanoi Metro will focus more on communication, promote cashless payments, and develop the Hanoi Metro app… to increase convenience for passengers and facilitate management and operation.
