The most expensive price for hairdressing and air conditioning repair courses

According to Hanoi 's estimate, the cost for a hairdressing apprentice is 16.9 million VND, and air conditioner repair is nearly 11 million VND, the most expensive among 30 elementary level occupations.

On November 1, the Hanoi People's Council announced a draft resolution regulating training service prices for 30 elementary-level occupations. This price includes tuition fees, enrollment service fees, quality assessment fees, and issuance of diplomas and certificates...

According to the draft, the hairstyling profession has the highest price - nearly 17 million VND per course, followed by B2 car driving (15.6 million VND), air conditioner and air conditioner repair (10.9 million). These are the three professions with service prices of over 10 million VND.

Growing high-quality rice is the profession with the lowest training cost - more than 4.8 million VND. Some professions with service prices of more than 5 million VND are fruit tree growing, poultry farming techniques, industrial sewing, and mobile phone repair.

Training time for elementary level vocational program ranges from 3-12 months, minimum 300 study hours.

Decree 81/2021 of the Government on the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees mentions the ceiling price for training services in the field of vocational education. Accordingly, this ceiling is determined based on economic and technical norms issued by competent authorities.

In March this year, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a set of economic and technical norms for training in some elementary-level occupations. This document clearly stipulates the number of modules, the number of hours of each module and the equipment needed for training. This is one of the bases for the City People's Council to draft a Resolution on vocational training service prices. From there, vocational schools calculate the fee for their training programs, not exceeding the regulations.

The draft Resolution is being consulted from November 1 and will apply to vocational schools in the capital from 2024 if approved.
