According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:30 AM Vietnam time today was $4,688 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.2% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,432 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 149.4 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is currently about 15.6 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

According to Reuters, global gold prices remained stable as investors focused on the latest developments in the US-Israel conflict against Iran and signals from the US President's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The US dollar rose 0.2%, making gold bullion priced in US dollars more expensive for holders of other currencies.
Oil prices fell after Iranian state media reported that around 30 ships had crossed the Strait of Hormuz in recent hours, along with reports of attacks on vessels near the strait.
“There is a risk of a sharp drop in gold prices if the conflict in the Middle East is not resolved,” said Bart Melek, head of global commodity strategy at TD Securities. He added that inventories and supplies of energy products could fall to the point where prices rise sharply, leading to higher overall inflation.
According to CME Group's FedWatch tool, a US interest rate cut is highly unlikely this year, due to the sharp rise in energy prices in April, both producer and consumer prices.
Although gold is considered a hedge against inflation, higher interest rates often put pressure on this non-yielding metal.
"Gold prices lack clear direction as the market weighs the lingering geopolitical uncertainty, the economic consequences of the conflict in the Middle East, and the hope that a meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping could help broker a solution," said Nikos Tzabouras, senior market analyst at Tradu.com.
In other news, the Indian government has announced a gold import cap of 100kg under its pre-licensing scheme, which allows Indian exporters to enjoy certain exemptions.
Spot silver prices fell 3.5% to $84.88 per ounce, platinum dropped 3.4% to $2,065.05, and palladium declined 3.7% to $1,443.62.

PNJ is trading SJC gold bars at 162 million VND/ounce for buying and 165 million VND/ounce for selling, unchanged from yesterday in both buying and selling prices. The buy-sell spread remains at 3 million VND/ounce.
Bao Tin Minh Chau maintains the price at 162 - 165 million VND/ounce (buying - selling), unchanged in both directions compared to the previous session. The spread between the two trading ends remains at 3 million VND/ounce.
Phu Quy Group listed SJC gold bars at 162 - 165 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), unchanged in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday. The buy-sell spread at Phu Quy remained at 3 million VND/ounce.
The Bao Tin Manh Hai system also maintained the price of SJC gold bars at 162 - 165 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), unchanged in both directions compared to the previous session.
Meanwhile, the price of gold bars at Mi Hong continues to be listed at 163.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 165 million VND/ounce for selling, unchanged from yesterday. As a result, the buy-sell spread at Mi Hong remains at 1.5 million VND/ounce, the lowest in the market today.
