These activities go beyond mere movements and delve deeper, closely addressing the practical needs of union members. This affirms the representative and caring role of the trade union organization, while also fostering stronger bonds in labor relations within enterprises.
Innovation starts at the provincial level and spreads to the grassroots.
From the end of March, the Provincial Labor Union proactively issued a plan clearly outlining the goals and key contents of the 2026 Workers' Month. With the motto "putting workers at the center, using tangible results as the measure," this year's Workers' Month has many new features, shifting strongly from purely formal activities to comprehensive care, combining material support and improving the spiritual well-being of workers.

Programs such as "Trade Union Meal," "Thank You to Workers," "Workers' Day," and "Skills and Sustainable Employment Day" were implemented simultaneously, attracting a large number of union members. Many businesses organized regular dialogues, promptly addressing workers' requests and minimizing disputes.
In particular, to expand the target group for union membership development, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed commune/ward labor unions and enterprise-level labor unions to encourage foreign workers to join the organization.

Following the provincial-level directive on innovation, most grassroots trade unions now organize at least one welfare activity. Many units have adopted flexible and creative approaches.
For example: Goertek Vietnam Trade Union (Nam Son Industrial Park - Hap Linh) rewarded nearly 1,000 workers with innovative ideas and improvements that benefited the company; Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. Trade Union (Yen Phong Industrial Park) awarded prizes to children of workers who achieved high academic results and organized recreational programs; trade unions in the wards and communes of Bac Giang, Yen Dung, Hiep Hoa, and Yen The organized cultural and sports festivals, incorporating gift-giving to workers in difficult circumstances and disseminating labor laws.
The Tan Yen commune trade union currently manages 52 enterprise-level trade unions with over 11,000 active members - one of the leading units in terms of the number of members managed among the 25 commune and ward trade unions.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Tan Yen Commune Trade Union, said: “We encourage enterprise trade unions to advise employers to allocate funds and cooperate with the trade union to improve the value of meals, health check-ups, and support for disadvantaged workers. Activities aimed at improving morale, such as cultural performances, sports competitions, and talent contests, are being invested in more systematically, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere and contributing to enhancing the spiritual life of workers.”
Many practical and lively activities
At Hosiden Vietnam Co., Ltd., the "Trade Union Meal" program attracted more than 5,000 union members and workers. The value of each meal was increased to 55,000 VND (34,000 VND higher per meal than usual).

Beyond simply improving nutrition, the program also creates a warm and friendly atmosphere as company leaders and union officials share meals and conversations with workers. This fosters understanding and sharing among all parties. Ms. Hoang Thi Binh, a worker, shared: “The meals are more complete and tastier, but the most meaningful thing is that we feel the genuine care from the company leadership and the union.”
Meanwhile, at Fukang Technology Co., Ltd., the effectiveness of this year's Workers' Month program is clearly demonstrated in both the expanded organization and the care for the spiritual well-being of the workers.
Since the beginning of the year, the company's labor union has admitted 300 new members who are foreign workers, bringing the total number of active members to nearly 22,500, achieving a membership rate of 99.5%. Beyond protecting the rights of employees, the company's labor union also focuses on building a humane working environment through cultural activities, creating motivation for employees to stay with the company long-term.

With the results achieved, the 2026 Workers' Month is not only a seasonal peak period but also contributes to building and spreading new approaches of trade union organizations with the motto "putting workers at the center". This strengthens trust and enhances the bond between union members, the trade union organization, and the enterprise.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Union, in the coming period, the labor union organization will continue to focus on key solutions such as: promoting membership growth, especially in the non-state enterprise sector; improving the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining. At the same time, it will continue to innovate the content and methods of its activities, apply technology, diversify approaches to reaching workers; and build sustainable welfare models that are appropriate to the actual conditions.
