On the afternoon of May 25th, under scorching hot weather, more than 50,400 candidates from Bac Ninh province arrived at examination centers to complete the procedures in preparation for the entrance exam to grade 10 of non-specialized high schools for the 2026-2027 school year, which will take place on May 26th and 27th.

Some examination centers had a large number of candidates, such as Hiep Hoa No. 2 High School with 47 examination rooms; Tien Du No. 1 High School with 45 examination rooms; Han Thuyen High School with 44 examination rooms; and Yen Phong No. 2 High School with 44 examination rooms. Many candidates arrived early to check their registration numbers, examination room layouts, complete the examination procedures, and verify their personal information.
At 77 examination centers, in addition to the prescribed examination staff, the volunteer youth force enthusiastically guided candidates to the location of their examination rooms, where to store prohibited items, and provided plastic fans and drinking water for candidates who needed them.

Some private high schools and vocational training centers have few registered candidates, so they are assigned to take the exam at the nearest examination centers, which is convenient for them to travel to.
During the exam preparation process, officials and teachers at the examination centers continued to explain the exam regulations, time, and schedule to the candidates. This included requiring them to clearly understand the drum (or bell) signals, the items allowed and not allowed in the examination room, and emphasizing the mandatory rule that candidates are not allowed to bring smart devices or mobile phones into the examination area.

In the hot weather conditions, the exam supervisors reminded candidates to take care of their health, eat and rest properly, and prepare for adverse weather conditions so that they could proactively travel to the exam site safely and on time, especially candidates from mountainous areas and areas where it is currently lychee harvesting season.
To cope with the hot weather, examination centers proactively implemented various measures to protect candidates and staff from the heat.

The examination rooms and offices are equipped with fans and air conditioners, and bottled drinking water is provided in abundance. In particular, Bac Ninh Power Company is focusing on implementing measures to ensure a continuous and safe power supply for the exam.
Reportedly, this year's entrance exam for 10th grade in non-specialized high schools has over 50,400 registered candidates vying for nearly 31,900 places in public high schools; nearly 9,100 places in private high schools; and 7,200 places in 10th grade continuing education programs at the high school level.
To ensure the smooth organization of the exam, the Steering Committee for High School Entrance Examinations for the 2026-2027 school year in Bac Ninh province has mobilized more than 5,000 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in the task.

Tomorrow morning (May 26th), candidates will take the Literature exam for 120 minutes in essay format. In the afternoon of the same day, they will take the English exam (60 minutes). On the morning of May 27th, candidates will take the Mathematics exam (120 minutes).
